The title tack from the forthcoming second full-length with ÄMNE. The first was the acclaimed GRUND, an ambient deep dive, which was also released on cassette by Stålverk Records in 2023. UTBRYTARE wants to create a vision of an encounter with an alien life form on another planet. How is the first encounter initiated and how do we communicate with it? The music on the cassette is created by ÄMNE (Daniel Palmberg from Sandviken) who, with electronic sounds, drooping backwards guitars and monotonous soundscapes, has tried to capture the feeling of an extraterrestrial story.

My contribution is on the right. 

For my part, I acted in a supporting role, starting with 14 Below Zero’s notes & Cherry Audio’s emulation of Octave Electronics’ 1976 CAT synth and then adding effects & editing where I felt appropriate. I had such a block on mixing this because I dislike hard panning for most things…so I mixed it in a way I preferred. After I felt good about that mix, I hard panned it again (except for some effects) and yeah, I still liked it. This should be fun for someone to add to next week.
