This quote significantly defines DJ Odyssey in a nutshell. He is all about being different, setting trends and earning the title of many firsts. From the look of his equipment, to the way he plays music. Later on, he developed the tag line, “The Musical Prodigy”. Musical, meaning of or relating to music and Prodigy, meaning a young person with extraordinary skills, talent or ability. Odyssey is simply defined as a long journey full of adventures. For every event Odyssey plays for, he tries his very best to deliver that message and indeed take people on a long journey full of adventures…a long journey full of musical adventures.

Odyssey was born on December 31st, 1993 in Belize City, Belize, located in Central America, which is bordered on the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala, and to the east, by the Caribbean Sea. Among other well-known disc jockeys and sound systems in Belize, Odyssey is one of the youngest and highly skilled disc jockeys that has built his name and earned the respect of several top foundation disc jockeys both locally and internationally. Odyssey was  one of the resident DJ for the popular club in Belize, Sit And Sip Lounge which caters to various class of people with various taste in music. Odyssey is also a Member DJ of well known media marketing platform, Riddimstream®.

As young and ambitious as he is in the business, Odyssey’s skills took him to Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time where he played for a mixed crowd of Jamaicans, Nigerians, Ethiopians and also his own people, Belizeans, all under one roof! He travelled to Las Vegas two times more after that by special request because of his outstanding performance the first time. Odyssey also played as a back up disc jockey for the Byron Lee & the Dragonaires’ very own, Oscar B of on his trip to Belize to perform as a featured guest artist for one of the biggest concerts in Belize to date, Machel Montano And Also Mr. Vagabond Himself Ricardo Drue on his visit to Belize to perform in San Pedro Ambergris Caye.

Furthermore, in an effort to extend people’s knowledge about DJ Odyssey, he frequently release mixtape volumes under the name line "Shell Down" of various genres and styles. Featured and sponsored by famous music source, riddimstream.com, his first release was the “Music is Life Vol. 1” that entailed genres of R&B and Hip Hop, which is a favorite of many up to this day. Odyssey was a former member of two of Belize’s leading sound crews, No Fear Deejays And Tagg International. He decided to branch out on his own and continue  on his musical journey. Along with being humble, understanding, real and although music is his life and passion, Odyssey aspires to become a pilot. It is his long-term career goal and he won’t stop until he reaches that goal.

Nevertheless, through continuous support from his fans, Odyssey promises to deliver a musical experience like no other.

For the past 7 years, "Social Experiment" has been the name of Jonny White’s internationally acclaimed series of Social Experiment showcases that have been an essential brand for the worlds top clubs and music festivals since it’s inception. From instalments in Panorama Bar and Fabric to DC10, these events have set the tone for a new project and new sound that White plans to concentrate his latest efforts on. The new catalogue promises to focus on a raw, dubby, industrial and brooding style of techno, a direction that has been transparent in Art Department shows as of late with much of the early catalogue being present in his sets.

This newly inspired project has also been launched as a partnership with hometown friends Nitin and former Art Department band-mate Kenny Glasgow in support of an issue very close to their hearts—animal rights. White has recently begun work on a charity project with long time friend and Pulse Radio founder Wade Cawood - called MAAC (Music Against Animal Cruelty). The charity will act as a fund with plans to galvanize the support of the electronic music industry and to help raise money to protect African wildlife facing the threat of diminishing population or extinction. Social Experiment will serve as a non profit record label with 100% of all net proceeds donated to MAAC.

About MAAC:
MAAC (Music Against Animal Cruelty) is a non profit organization with one simple directive: to save African wildlife. MAAC is a vehicle conceived by Jonny White of Art Department fame and long time friend and founder of Pulse Radio, Wade Cawood, to act as a broker between musicians, music industry and music fans alike, and organizations who are working on initiatives to save various animals facing the dangers of a diminishing population and/or extinction. Ultimately MAAC's objectives will extend to curating large scale events in hopes of raising substantial funds, allowing us to curate our own initiatives in Africa. In the interim we will be working as a "fund" to which anyone can contribute. We in turn will select various "grassroots" initiatives as beneficiaries. Whether it be to save lesser known animals who desperately need our help like the Wild Dog, or to enable Rangers to educate land-owners and farmers as to how they can safely utilize their land to produce crops or livestock without harming local wildlife, our mission is to help. 

Wildlife conservation in Africa is an issue near and dear to our hearts. We have come to realize that there is an often overlooked opportunity for artists and fans who are passionate about this issue to make a difference. Our plan is to galvanize the support of the music industry—a worldwide collective of likeminded individuals who together can make a significant difference in Africa.

Social Experiment is a non-profit record label. 100% of net proceeds from sales of this record will go towards conserving wildlife in Africa.

Dance music has a habit of running in cycles, so whilst the newbies are discovering the latest ‘old’ style, the veterans of the industry already have it down to a fine art.
Having been a fundamental part of the UK scene since the 90’s, amassing three UK top 20 singles and over a staggering 4 million record sales worldwide, Jeremy Sylvester has refocused and thrown himself into recording a long awaited debut album.

With a mass of fresh new releases up his ever experienced sleeve, Jeremy is moving forward and embodying his vast knowledge with a great perception of what works, as well as mixing in something innovative and fresh, to keep himself a cut above the rest.

With respected EDM figureheads like Disclosure and Basement Jaxx all showing great support for Jeremy’s talent and vision, as well as noting him as one of their influences, he is now embarking on a tour of the US and Australia to once again spread the seed of his unique style.

The artistic scope of renowned saxophonist, composer, painter, and poet Oliver Lake’s half-century-long career is unparalleled. An extensive resume of his collaborations includes work with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Flux String Quartet, Bjork, Lou Reed, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Anthony Braxton, James Blood Ulmer, William Parker, Vijay Iyer, Reggie Workman, Andrew Cyrille and a veritable who’s who of the jazz vanguard. Oliver’s efforts extend far beyond the music, with his creation of the non-profit Passin’ Thru organization, becoming a mainstay at Pittsburgh’s City of Asylum, publishing two books of poetry and frequently producing visual artwork for exhibitions across the country.

Lake’s breadth of disciplines can be traced back to his formative years with the Black Artists Group, the innovative St. Louis collective of musicians, poets, dancers and painters he helped architect over 35 years ago. As a co-founder of the internationally acclaimed World Saxophone Quartet (with fellow luminaries David Murray, Julius Hemphill and Hamiet Bluiett), Oliver firmly established himself in the “Loft” jazz scene of the 1970’s in New York City, and has since produced a body of work that is both expansive and versatile enough to avoid falling solely into the trappings of the “avant-garde” and “free” labels. The fact that his work can stand on compositional merit alone, all while he has etched a place for himself as one of the elite saxophone players and improvisers of recent times, is a testament to Oliver Lake’s stature as an artist.

Lake’s output as an exacting and unequivocally original composer has long been celebrated, highlighted by commissions awarded from the Library of Congress, the Rockefeller Foundation ASCAP, the International Association for Jazz Education, Composers Forum and the McKim Foundation. He has been the recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship and was also presented with the Mellon Jazz Living Legacy Award at the Kennedy Center in 2006.

In 2014, Oliver was honored with what is arguably the greatest recognition of his artistry and vision to date, becoming one of only nineteen grantees appointed for the prestigious Doris Duke Artist Award, a multi-year grant awarded to American artists in the fields of jazz, theater and dance. 

A trailblazer through and through, Oliver Lake continues to produce in the vociferous, uncompromising way he only knows how to, currently immersed in the work of such adventurous ensembles as the Oliver Lake Organ Quartet, Oliver Lake Big Band and Trio 3.

Born under Brasilia’s burning sun, ELISA DO BRASIL moves to France at a very young age, where she will find a passionated love for electronic musics. Oscillating between the Drum & Bass and Free Party movements, EDB rewrites her own DNA by fully dedicating herself to those sounds, becoming one of their leading faces at the young age of 20. In 1999, she starts a residency at the mythical REX CLUB with her « MASSIVE » parties (welcoming some legendary names such as Laurent Garnier or MC Verse) which will signi cantly shape the future of the French Drum & Bass scene.

Her fury and her visceral talent give her wings for over 10 years (2000-2010), and brings her to participate to some of France’s and Europe’s most importants festivals (Outlook, Dour, Fusion, Garorock, Solidays, Astropolis...). Meanwhile, she releases two mixed CDs on UWE, « Massive Party » in 2004, and « So Massive » in 2006, and two LPs on X-Ray : « First Stroke » (2009) and « Rolling the Dice » in 2012, as well as a track signed on the British label Viper Recordings. She also stands out with her « All Night Long » sets, nights during which she reveals the full extend of her talent behind the decks and sharp selection. In parallel, Elisa Do Brasil develops a strong relationship with extreme sports, and tours with Rip Curl, O’Neill, or at the Natural Games Festival.

She returns in 2013 to launch a new residency at Rex Club with her parties « Forever DNB », where she regularly invites Drum & Bass legends (Andy C, Randall, DJ Marky, DJ Storm, MC GQ) but also some of the scene’s younger talents (Skeptical, Kings Of The Rollers), proud of a new musical identity, closer to her  rst in uences and to the sound-system culture that mean so much to her. With new projects and a forthcoming album, 2017 resonates as Elisa Do Brasil’s comeback to the front of the scene !

With a career spanning more than 20 years, Paco Osuna is one of the most renowned artists in the industry. His creativity, courage and relentless search for new forms of expression are some of his principal and consistent virtues when it comes to making music. On the dance floor, he is lively, intelligent and sophisticated, with a deep awareness for sound aesthetics. Every session is important to Paco and he sets out to invent and renew every time he steps onto the stage.

In 2006 he launched Mindshake, conceived as a platform for the creation and distribution of electronic music. Over the past few years, Mindshake has become one of the most important techno labels in the US and Europe. Also in 2006, Paco founded a club with a fresh concept, Club4, which has established itself as the overwhelming choice for its variety and accessibility in electronic music offerings.

Throughout his career Paco has performed at clubs, parties and festivals of great prestige. The list of events in which he has played is endless, and is one where quality is more important than quantity. From Fabric London to WOMB Tokyo, passing through Space NYC, Space Miami, Verboten New York, Watergate Berlin and Electric Brixton London. Meanwhile, Sónar, Awakenings, Dockyard, ADE, Neopop, BPM, Electric Zoo, Movement Detroit, Time Warp and Tomorrowland are some of the many festivals he has played.

From 2012 to 2014 he was resident for Richie Hawtin’s ENTER, appearing not only at Space Ibiza but also in its tour around the world. In 2015 Paco Osuna became part of Music On, joining Marco Carola in residencies at Amnesia Ibiza and the Story club in Miami, as well as the emblematic parties during BPM Mexico. In 2016 he was selected to be ambassador of PLAYdifferently Model1, a distinction also received by Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Dubfire and, of course, Richie Hawtin. 2016 was also an important year for the Mindshake showcases, in which Paco participated alongside other label producers with tours taking in European and American stages, including events such as the Miami Music Week and ADE Amsterdam. The Mindshake showcases are both an extension of the musical and artistic vision of Paco and a family celebration, where the main goal is to create an unforgettable musical experience.

In the studio, Paco Osuna has moulded his own musical signature, coating the purest techno sounds with his characteristic features: depth, darkness and imagination, always accentuated by his creativity and innovation. Proof of that are his releases on labels such as Plus8, Minus, Mood, Spectral and Hommage, plus productions for his own platform Mindshake.
With a long career and background, Paco has picked up several prizes for his hard work on and off the stage, receiving the awards for Best Artist, Best Techno DJ, Best Producer and Best Remix from the Vicious Awards and DJ Mag Spain.

During 2016 Paco Osuna will extend the journey that has led him be the artist that he is today. This year, his residencies with Music On Ibiza and Miami will continue, while he will also still be focusing his energy on his main project Mindshake, a label that will end this year having published more than 45 works since its conception.
