Influences: traditional vocal music from all over the world, experimental electronic music and noise, extended vocal technique. Mostly I spend a lot of time exploring the types of sounds I can make with my face, and how sounds reflect off of and influence my environment. 

I was a professional classical pianist age 12-24. Since then, I've been listening to as much music as I can find, to diversify my approach and context for playing with people. I'm learning pitched percussion and mouth harps, and once I get a looping/effects setup I'll start playing solo shows. I have produced one CD and an EP with my friend Wobbly / Jon Leidecker - http://mufaor.bandcamp.com/ who is an experimental electronic musician and sample artist. I'm slowly putting together a set of simple songs that have words and "normal" melodies.
