There's something very intimate in this song, I think it's melancholy which comes out from the melody. I used a lot of delays on the pianos, which evokes a dreamy mood. I composed the melody in 2003 on a Korg Triton Extreme. It was only 8 measures at this time, and all the basics where already set. However it sounded just sooo bad.... I kept it this way all this time, and decided only 2 months ago that it might be worth producing it with my DAW. So I wrote the words, asked my girlfriend to do the backing and here we go... There are still some improvements to make, but the result is very close to the way I always wanted it.

It seems to me that many people these days make more effort to separate themselves from others than to compare themselves with others. Both are triggers for unhappiness, in my opinion, but it's something more than that.

This song has very few bass parts. Most parts use an 8-string guitar. This is the result of avoiding the competition between the bass and the area of existence. I did slaps, thumbs, tapping, and all sorts of other things. It took me a long time to finish the song because there were so many parts I had to practice and I had tendonitis....hahahaha
