Starting as a collaboration between Girls of the Internet’s Tom Kerridge and UK soul sensation Sophie Faith, ‘Affirmations’ was released in summer of 2023 prior to the collective’s full-length LP When I Was Lost, I Found Myself. Dennis Ferrer completely transforms ‘Affirmations’, taking Tom Kerridge’s emotive production and giving it undeniable synth bounce mixed with NYC grit, with Anelisa Lamola’s tender yet powerful vocals stretched and pulled to create rhythmic intricacies.
