Neli CoKo - One Day

A song I wrote two years ago or more about my wife and her mother. Reflecting on the loss of a mother and how it affects the daughter so much and continues to hurt everyday five years later.
I gave Noobly the original demo and said imagine this.
We are on stage at the Albert Hall. You with an acoustic guitar and me on vocals with a full orchestra behind us. He said no pressure then and laughed.
It’s the only way I could express how big this sound needed to be.
Noobly loves a challenge and always delivers. I was blown away at what he had created it’s a home  studio masterclass of orchestration and production.
He also pulled out the original vocal part from the middle 8 and re-used it again as he thought it was more authentic than the new vocal.
A nice touch for me and nostalgic.
The anniversary draws near so now is a good time for the song to be released as a tribute.

"The Second Coming" is a poem written by Irish poet W. B. Yeats in 1919, the poem uses Christian imagery regarding the Apocalypse  to allegorically describe the atmosphere in the immediate aftermath of WW1. The poem was written in the weeks following Yeats's pregnant wife's recovery from the flu. The virus had apparently bought his wife close to death. 
These themes of senseless destruction and pandemic seem to echo the world in which we currently find ourselves and the work seems like a chillingly apt allegory for our present situation.

A further twist to this piece is that the dialogue was generated using AI Voice cloning, the AI was trained using a recording of the English actor David Warner, who passed away in July 2022. The text of the poem was then simply copied into a text dialogue and the audio was then created within a minute. I slightly slowed the audio, split some sections and added some subtle convolution reverb, but otherwise the voice you hear is generated entirely by the AI.  
While this has been an interesting exercise in discovering what is possible, it does concern me regarding the rate at which AI technologies have suddenly exploded into the public arena.

Should we be worried.... possibly?

Better Run For Your Life

I certainly don't need to tell you that there is, of course, a limit to human ingenuity.  Interplanetary travel, the eradication of smallpox, room temperature fusion are all very well, but as a species we will most likely always shake our heads in wonderment at the two unfathomable mysteries of the universe:  does the light really go out in the fridge when you close the door?  And how come leaves only ever blow into the garage and not back out again?

Now if I've understood the science pages right, I believe those clever folk at CERN and NASA have been working hard on the fridge door paradox (give up guys – can't be done) but even they recognise the futility of trying to crack the garage leaf blues.

I'll admit I haven't actually done this, but it is an absolute certainty that if you went to the very centre of the Nullarbor Plain, built a little garage, opened the door and looked the other way for just a second – there'd be a ruddy leaf in there.

Can't be solved.  Something to do with corridors in the space / time continuum.  

Or God, the bugger.

Drives me nuts.

Get On The Bus! (HOLY DUMPLING #4) w/ Stonerjazz, Uziel, Tea R. Sea, Nadia Selvaggi

Its a slow album in development but heres the 2nd track of Intonarumori Duets with the wonderful AEP interpreting the Italian classic  Sì Viaggiare. The Intonarumori on this occasion is being played in a kind of pizzicato manner. Full album out sometime next year as this project is fitting in around other bigger projects.
