Gnarwhal is a heavy alt-fuzz rock band from Yellowknife, Canada, blending doom, grunge, and prog-metal. Since forming in 2021, they've toured across Canada, earned a WCMA nod, and dropped two releases. Their next full-length album arrives March 2026, further cementing their place in Canada’s stoner rock underground. 
Their debut album earned a Western Canadian Music Award nomination in 2023 and a 2022 Music NWT Award.
They've shared stages with notable acts, solidifying their presence in Canadian rock. With an innovative sound, they're making waves in the heavy music scene.

Influenced by 20th Century Americana, from Bob Wills and Hank Williams to The Clash, Bad Religion, and Pantera, the greatness of the 70’s, 80’s, and especially the 90’s (when I began making music). 

I mix elements of punk rock into everything I touch, and because I’m an old former drag (and street) racer I like to “run what ya brung.” Some of it sucks, some of it I like a lot, but all of it is from somewhere inside me. Born in Zambia and raised in Botswana, KD Bangers whose birth name's are "Kaindu Tshombela" is a music producer and songwriter. Heavily influenced by Gospel music, Hip-Hop, and R&B, he, later on, started writing his own music and learning how to produce his own beats at the age of 15.
Nomitated in three YAMA (Yarona FM Music Awards) awards for Best Producer of the Year, Best Male Single, and Best Amapiano nominee in 202 held in Botswana. He continues to represent African sounds all across the world through his music. More musical content to be delivered.

My favorite musical time period is from the 1970's thru the 1990's - and I have created a playlist of covers that remind me of those good times. I have also included some classics, and blues which I also revere. I am retired from teaching but still working - and I picked up the acoustic guitar when they kicked me out of the coaching world. 
I am completely self taught and pick up techniques and improvements from the many fine guitarists out there in social media today.
I will continue to edit the playlist and add to it - improving it to the highest standards that I can. I originally wanted to have a dozen or so songs, but am now up to around 40.
I record in my office on a single MXL microphone using Garage Band. I run the mic through a Presonus Audiobox USB96. I own one guitar, a Breedlove Atlas Series acoustic.  I purchased it from Elderley's in Lansing, Michigan. I have a standard tripod mic stand with a boom arm.
