Keith is an old school rocker who loves to belt out throaty vocals and crunch away on guitars.
I just come alongside and wrap a vision of additional parts and produce it all to show off the details in the creative process as best as a modest home-based  musician with a rudimentary DAW can.

  This is a remix that Tez did of a song JJ wrote, and we released a couple weeks ago. He extracted the coda, expanded it, and mixed an ambient groove into it. Basically, he took the sweetest part of the fruit and made a salad with it. Everyone is doing the same thing they were a couple weeks ago, except this time what you're hearing has gone through the filter of Tez's brain. It sounds like almost a completely different song now, and a really fun ride at that. Tez is into ambient music, so this touches on that proclivity, too. When all heard it on Christmas day, we decided immediately that we wanted to share it with all of you. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it, and Tez enjoyed crafting it into something new.

A simple, fun love song about a guy who lost the love of his life for years and contented himself with doing "nothin' special"...until he and the girl randomly run into each other again. The flame is rekindled into "somethin' special”. This release is even more special as it is a remake of a previous recording that I entrusted to my "Daniels & Durgy" partner, Nat Daniels (Gentle Rain Records), to remix and produce. Recalling some tequila, love words and more with them in that Ibiza bar, I wondered: “What if Pink Floyd met the spirit of Camarón de la Isla… in my bedroom?” I used lots of guitars, basses, etc. on a 12/8 beat, to enclose 3/4, 6/4 & 8/8 rhythms along.
