Dedicated to my mother after her illness. Shes back on the flowing stream of life. Again, another track improvised and recorded on a smartphone as I played it for the first time, so a little bit raw.

This was for my mother who had just had the all clear for a cancer. She was on a flowing stream of life. All ok now.
I experimented with some acoustic buttons. Terrible sound and it did not transfer well from the Smartphone. This is raw...but it flowed to where I do not know...

Hi,

I am a Soft Classical, 1930s-40s British Dance Bands , Big Bands, Jazz music listener and small time amateur composer.

I play the saxophone and piano by ear and I normally only play tunes that I know well from memory.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my first album and tracks.
These compositions are some of my musical ideas and experiments in assorted styles of Soft Classical, New Age and Tudor England style music.
I am not a musician and cannot read or write music down and I have had no formal music lessons or piano training in my life. 
I play very basic piano, on my old 1994 Yamaha Clavinova … a real pianist will hear this straight away, so I prefer the composing side of music more.

I usually get my inspiration whilst sitting at the piano or if I see something outside of the window or if there are any special occasions at the time.
Some tracks, you might be able to hear that I am recording them straight off as I play, in an unedited improvised way, so some tunes are a bit of a mystery tour, all 100% original, albeit raw…
My long-term aim is for someone to convert some of my composed tracks down on to manuscript and then it would be great if a professional orchestra could make a full orchestration of certain tracks and then may be used for a TV theme, or a film score etc.

One of the hardest things for myself to take on board is that once a new tune has been finished, I can only ever play it again if it is still fresh in my mind or practice playing it repeatedly…time passing is not good for my recount.
I did not ever envisage that I would put an album out to the public, so apart from the newer tracks, which sound better as they were recorded directly from my piano to my upstairs PC soundcard with a 7-metre cable.
Some of my earlier composed tracks were recorded with just a Smartphone, so they are no way near to approaching studio quality…. saying that…hopefully they give you some atmosphere and charm with a flavour of what I was trying to achieve.
I have put this album out mostly for my family and posterity …. music is for sharing and I have nothing to lose.
