I am beside myself with joy to honour the memory of my high school bestie Dan Wayne Dunlop (October 4, 1957 – November 17, 2012), by re-recording, producing and publishing his original song "Young Love".  Dan and I first met in junior high school and became the best of friends in high school.  We were bad, had tons of fun and jammed together often for many years.  Known by many names, Dan, Big Mouth or the Baron of Barrie, he loved the Barrie, Ontario community and its people. He felt at home in Barrie and even recorded a song, an ode to his adopted City of Barrie.  Dan, as an entertainer extraordinaire, was best known for hosting the comedy skit-based TV show "Big Mouth" winning a Rogers Television Award in 2005 as best on-air personality.  Dan, AKA "FastManDan," wrote "Young Love" in the late 1970s. He recorded it on a cassette player using a drum machine, his guitar, and, of course, his vocals. My AI attempt to revive the recording from my cassette copy didn't work out, so I decided to re-record the song. The great thing is I couldn't be more pleased with the results, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!  In many ways, Dan was my mentor.  I admired and took inspiration from his independent nature, courage, talent and outstanding determination.  A born comedian and later a cartoonist, singer, songwriter, guitarist, Impressionist, puppeteer, exotic pet handler, film producer, radio talk show host, cameraman and film editor,  Dan was one dynamite entertainer and a hilarious prankster!  Just as important was his good nature and big heart.  Dan truly cared about the well-being of others and was not afraid to show you that side of himself.  Dan influenced and affected many people's lives, and all are grateful to have known this man. I miss him very much and crack a smile whenever I think of the good times we had together.  As much as a man can love a man, I loved Dan – rest in peace, my great friend and brother!  Wow, is it not the coolest thing knowing that your spirit has a voice through this great tune of yours?

Do you come to my Universe?

Oke this track... is one of the first I've made in FL (or at least the basic beat), and then it stayed on the shelve for 3 years or so xD. But better late then never! Yet another summer style song going on! (And I still stick to the 1 song per month yey! progression!)

Only trouble I had currently.... Is me writing quite a happy summer song bc it was still on the shelve and I enjoyed making it.... but my head is also somewhere else.... With everything going on in the world. Maybe I'm going to use those thoughts for the next project. In the mean time, let's stay nice to each other. Accept each other for who they are. Protect your loved ones, protect democracy. And if your in a country that's been plagued by war (Ukraine, Palestine) please stay safe. I hope one day everything will be alright again.
