Sourced sounds from videos I captured in Paris '24, Constructing Modernity is a response to Fernand Leger's Composition with Fruit (1938). It is an Alt-Cubist work critiquing the difficult standards of life and threat to organicity during extensive industrialisation of Paris. I implement themes of development, decay and regrowth and sociality, drawing parallels to the community that continues to grow.
