LAST OF THE SUMMER FLIES

Elin is a girl who was about to be devoured by the Dormant Witch. But thanks to her intelligence she has saved her life and that of her father. Terrified, she concentrates on the sound of her horse's hooves and tries to calculate the time needed to reach safety. At the beginning of the song, the sound of the ratchet that is the witch's backbone is heard approaching. And the witch is accompanied by a hellish chorus. The girl leans her ear on her horse to listen to the beating of her heart and thus escape from so much horror and suffering.

Lies Are Like Snowflakes

I wrote this a couple of days ago, sitting at my piano among the packing boxes.  It was just a flow of feelings piece.  I let it flow through my hands and out through the piano, trying to express my feelings of sadness at leaving this beautiful place and excitement at heading north for a new adventure by the sea in Northumberland. Just because we can and why not give it a try, get some sea air, walk on the beach, listen to the waves.  Apologies this is a warts and all recording on my phone with an occasional hesitation while I work out where I’m going.  I hope you enjoy the journey.
