Laima Adelaide is a producer of electronic music, focusing on deep techno and ambient. She also graduated from studies in contemporary classical composition at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart and sound engineering at JVLMA in Riga. Founder of Predawn Records. Her musical interest lies in the physicality of sounds and rhythmic structures, how space and sound work together and can evoke a wide variety of emotional reactions.

Dear listener, welcome to another codecast X hypnotic experience.

For this episode we're introducing Kasil.
His style and his DJ sets are influenced by the club culture there and outline a wide spectrum from ambient, house to deep techno. His approach is always focused on creating a certain kind of mood that lasts for hours and captivates the listener without necessarily following the trend of fast and especially hard sounds.

CODECAST X - Kasil - Floral Coating

Time to share the 21st Herbarium episode with you, this time we warmly welcome our talented friend and artist @caldera-caldera from Brighton. He curated a fantastic journey between deep and subtle textures combined with delicate harmonic glimpses into other worlds.

Caldera chose the European Ash for his mix, here is why:
I chose Fraxinus excelsior since I always admired how the light shines through the leaves of those trees and it has always made me in awe of them. I've been fortunate enough to have been living opposite a little forest that consists of many Ash Trees, so it's been my studio view since moving here 9 years ago and a steady source of subtle inspiration. (The first track includes a field recording of this forest)
For this mix I tried to capture the sound and movement of this plant in the wind which is why I choose tracks that include long pads and reverberend sounds as well as music that has some kind of sprinkly patterns representing the more in depth movements and interplay of the many small leaves.

Van Morph is a restless spirit that has been around since the early 90's as a clubber but also as a listener. In the mid 90's his love for electronic music brought him close to the desire to learn the art of DJing. With this initiation, he officially began his journey in the field of the music industry. He is Co-Owner/Founder of the record labels @khoros-label, @eurynomerec and @techtone-176654216, continues to this day to share his musical concerns since music for him is a way of life, a choice that has determined to this day his course so far. His style changes and reshapes from time to time and that does not make him boring. His music is characterized by dancing bass lines and psychedelic accompaniments while other times his dub mood with various percussions and melodies show the other side of him.

Smansky, DJ, vinyl collector from Łódź City, Poland.
For over 20 years he has been participating in the club scene in Łódź, has decided to vent his passion. Raised on Old School, Jungle, D'n'B, tapes recorded from the radio and VHS tapes from electronic music TV programs from Viva, Viva Zwei, MTV. Then he fell in love with electronics like Autechre, Aphex Twin, Vladislav Delay, The Black Dog, Monolake, Plastikman, and Jeff Mills. Currently, he draws inspiration from sets of artists like Donato Dozzy, Neel, Dasha Rush, Takaaki Itoh, Marco Shuttle, Mary Yuzovskaya, Shifted, Abdulla Rashim. He loves techno in the style of hypnotic, deep, broken beats, offbeat, abstract, ambient. He tries to include his love for rhythm and percussion in his sets, he tries not to follow trends and draws from various trends and eras of electronic music. Currently wants to improve a skills playing from vinyls.

He is Resident at BUDE club in Kutaisi (Georgia), and artistic director of the label BUDE Records.
Beka Zakradze (aka Petit Astronaute) is a Georgian artist based in Kutaisi. He started in 2010 and has been developing his music for more than ten years.
He is a regular in Georgian scene, you can easily catch him in Tbilisi, Batumi or Kutaisi where he is resident at BUDE club. He is the artistic director at the club's label, BUDE Records.

Beka is also member of Khôros & BAHN· Records.
