I'm very pleased to get to work with Karl's music yet again as we have collaborated on many projects together. When I first heard 'Haust' (Icelandic for Autumn), I was haunted by the richness of the bowed sound and the grinding industrial textures that spoke to me about the extreme environment in Iceland (https://soundcloud.com/sesar/haust). Well i wrote this song for the Rolling Stones if they should ever get around to listening to it,  i have always been a big fan so i decided to mix a bit of Gospel, a bit of Blues and Hey presto a new song for Mick and Keith. In true Keith Richard tradition i took my Bass E string off and tuned the guitar to key of G. The main guitar is the Bridge pick up on the Les Paul giving a nice rounded sound and the lead is the bridge pick up more giving a more trebly and cutting through the mix a bit. No processing all clean as they sound. My vocals have a bit of Saturation and distortion and Compression to give me that bluesy sound, hope you'll like it and Mick & Keith if your out there let me know how i did..

Greetings my friends. I admit up front, this is a strange write-up… culminating from years of trying to navigate a world that no longer makes sense to me. And maybe that’s a good thing. We all needed a wake up call to just how ineffective and unsustainable it all is? And the last few years have provided examples of that… in abundance. 

Speaking of abundance (or in this case, lack thereof), Cheer and I have been discussing this one a lot lately; specifically in regards to the shops and restaurants we frequent. I finally gave up on building a DIY, music-centric desk I designed, because none of the local hardware stores had enough of the pieces in stock. We’ve watched our favorite Romaine lettuce disappear from the shelves, to be replaced by something half the size and twice the cost. Several of our favorite restaurants have closed permanently, and the wait times at others is painfully long now. 

Apparently, shop and restaurant owners can’t get anybody to work for $15/hr when it costs $30/hr to afford rent and groceries now. (How could we have ever predicted or prevented that? One might speculate.)

It’s enough to make the average mind go a little panicky. “Why don’t you have that in stock?”, ‘Why did the price on this just double overnight?”, “Why have we been waiting for 20 minutes just for the menus?”. All of these are very real, and very concerning… specifically if we never stop to question how much of that thinking is the result of being programmed to think like consumers our whole lives.

How often have you heard a commercial say something along the lines of “You deserve this because you are worth it.” Or “You should fear this. And our product/service can protect you.” Or “You should take this prescription, despite the list of side effects being longer than the list of benefits.”

I suggest we ask ourselves ‘Am I thinking with the mind of a consumer right now?’, and then be very willing to let those developing thoughts roll around in our heads for a while. 

Cheer and I concluded (with minor alarm) that we are both profoundly brainwashed by ‘consumer’ thinking; and it shows every time we feel a sense of panic in the store. Sure, things are a bit more scarce than they were 5 years ago… but does anyone (old enough) remember 30 years ago, when the stores contained half of what they offer now? (And none of us were freaking out over a lack of choices then). How about a time when you couldn’t have something shipped to your door overnight (many of us can still remember a time when 6-8 weeks was a decent shipping window).

Maybe the path to changing this paradigm is for us to get out of that ‘consumer’ thinking, and focus more on a ‘grateful for all the amazing things we have’ kind of thinking. I can still go to the store and choose from an abundance of fruits and vegetables, a teetering display of chips and dips, a bevy of beers from around the world. There are still more choices than my simple brain truly wants to think through, even if they are sold out of the Smoked Salmon and Ketchup flavored Cheetos I was specifically looking for.

So my plan going forward is to TASER myself (at least psychologically) every time I catch my brain being consumery. And the goal is to reach a point where I’m not thinking “It’s not fair my favorite restaurant closed.”, but instead thinking “How cool is it that I had that experience; and got to support the family that owned and worked that restaurant.” 

We’ve reached some critical tipping points that are well on their way to determining our future; and I believe a healthy attitude (dipped in gratitude) is the thing that’s going to keep us from gnawing each other’s faces off over the long haul. Them’s my weird thoughts for the day. Take em with a grain of salt (assuming the store carries the brand you like). I hope you enjoy my latest musical offering, ‘I’ll See It When I Believe It”. :)

For a more dense rhythm section I needed agility on bass line so this time, instead of the double bass, I chose to use my old dear electric bass, an old Cort that's been with me since high school. I haven’t played it for a long time, it’s been fun, I think I will do it again soon.
About the picture: actually the place of the photo is not a station or an airport, it is part of a photographic work I made some years ago on the concept of non-place like the big malls. But a non-place is also, some way, an all-places, every places from which to leave or arrive...
The real truth is that I've always liked this photo, for the perspective plane and because it's full of lines with variety of lights and shadows... In short, I couldn't wait to find an excuse to use it :)

We created this track to welcome our lives Into The Future year... 2023... Happy New Year! 

It is a space where we can decide how we want to "position our lenses," decide upon how we want to "frame" the "who, what, when, where, how, and why" of our past, present, and future and plan how we will use those to propel us forward, this year... and always! 

Life isn't always a bowl of pitted cherries, a princess fairytale or television movie where everything "works out the way we'd like them to end." Such "hocus pocus mindsets" blinded generations to "the ways" one mogul movie company, most noted for children's movies, whose graphic artists put sexual imaging in EVERY movie... was an "in our faces" slap... intrinsically, subliminally, linking children with sexual images. Is it any wonder, TRULY, WHY pedophilia runs so rampant around the USA and the world... and sexual abuses, assaults, and sexual trafficking runs so rampant in and around the world as well... when television and film industries aren't held accountable for their subliminal programming... or the music industry for using the HZ of 440 which is known to be a cellular de-harmonizing tool? What would happen if all artists, music and audio/visual content creators, took on some accountability for creating a conversion back to 432HZ, rather than the 440HZ de-harmonizer everything was ordered changed to in order to create more discord in the world? We've seen the effects of 440HZ music all around us. (Our ex-fiancee was a cutter who used to "play certain music to psyche myself up to do it..." in her words. Think about it folks, do most people who listen to more harmonizing frequency music go around lashing out at the world, cutting themselves, living in suicidal or homicidal lifestyles or mindsets or tendencies?) 

The easiest way to bring harmony to the world is to stop creating music, television movies, that promote the things we want to see disappear and stop financially and physically supporting industries owned by the elitists who are the only ones truly benefitting from our participation in them.

In the USA, generations have been ignorant/blind/unwilling to admit or see this pattern emerge and to speak up and actively stop it. Instead, we work for and pay these moguls to supply us with the discord, we then demand insurance for medical care(which is nothing more than sick care since most medications "warnings" are an absolute joke and slap in the face to anyone actually awake! How about we stop asking the repetitive question "Why... did my family member, friend, spouse get this disease or that..." when the answers are right in front of us... if we'd do a smidgeon of reading?! How about BEing alert and more mindful of everything in our environment affecting and effecting our bodies and our lives? When we decide to address the SOURCES and hold those people and industries accountable... the perceived need for the medical industry would no longer exist. The "sense of lack" (a large portion of the population believes they live within; mostly because we choose to pay those same elitists to "treat the symptoms" with a mere prescription or temporary bandage, rather than doing the work to peel back, dismantle, arrest, and seriously imprison the 1% for basically what should be considered domestic terrorism...) would dissolve.

We caution listeners to not drive or operate machinery while listening to our music done in a HZ unlike what most radio stations play... and to listen through headphones at a lower volume than you normally listen to most of your music, for optimum effect.

This by increasing judgment against those who've dared and actively chosen to more extensively read and engage in thousands and hundreds of thousands of conversations with everyday folks, as well as those within the aforementioned agencies and entities who've dared to speak the truths about what they've done, learned, and KNOW from within them. These are folks who dare to speak up for what's true and right... despite some of them becoming flagged to be strip-searched every single time they fly, by government agencies and entities who (despite planting the public ideology of them being "conspiracy theorists," rather than the whistle-blowers,) KNOW these people HAVE evidence and continue to travel the world sharing it with those who are open-minded, open-hearted enough to listen to FACTS beyond the brainwashing and limited mindsets of the majority who'd rather "remain asleep" or hold ourselves accountable for our own complacency, complicit-ness, in perpetuating these toxic agendas and behaviors... rather than treating them as the domestic terrorism crimes they are. Even Christianity is founded on archaic, patriarchal, control which let out over 100 tablets/books... because it didn't "suit their agenda." It's how generations were conned into building churches and funding their idolic maintenance, when Jesus allegedly said "give up everything and follow me..." (whilst loving a prostitute... oh ye "Christians" who judge "certain occupations...") and attended a Jewish temple. Yet, many of us were conned into worshiping a caucasian Jesus... as if He were born in Bethlehem Pa, rather than in the Middle East! It's time we read more and listen and turn off sanctioned "news" sources and sanctioned only education and resources... and dig a little deeper for truths.
