Josh Kim is the founder and CEO of The Cubby, the first art marketplace where college student creators can exclusively showcase and sell their work to the public for no fees. As a maker himself, he intimately understands the joy of making something out of nothing, the vulnerability of putting forth your own work for public critique, and the loneliness of having no one to share in the highs and lows.
Realizing that he wasn’t alone in his experience, Josh conceived of The Cubby as a support network for makers striving to go from zero to one, who have no one to turn to for guidance on how to navigate startup setbacks. As a college student, he specifically wanted to empower amateur makers and provide a platform where they could showcase their work to a larger audience than they could reach on their own.
The Cubby officially launched in February 2020, but for his vision and startup work, Josh was named the 2020 Emerging Leader of the Year by the economic development organization of central Maine. With over 600 student artists from 200 schools across the country represented on The Cubby, support for amateur makers is in high demand; Josh is relishing the opportunity to build new features that will help amateurs make the leap to become professional makers.

About Bill Green:
Bill Green specializes in telling rich stories of Maine's outdoors. Bill is Maine’s senior television reporter (more than 40 years) and one of its most popular as well.

In 1993, he became a full-time feature reporter having already established the weekly segments Green Outdoors and My Hometown. In 2016, his show Bill Green’s Maine won the Regional Emmy as Outstanding Magazine Program in New England.

A lifelong Mainer, Bill was born in Bangor (1953) and attended the University of Maine. He is an inductee into the Maine Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame and the Maine Sports Hall of Fame. He is a Registered Maine Guide, has served as Senior Warden at Trinity Episcopal Church of Portland and Assistant JV Baseball Coach at Greely High.

One interesting fact about Bill is back in the year 2000, he donated bone marrow to a 10-year old leukemia patient in Holly, Michigan who went on to graduate from college and is recently married.

Bill and his wife Pam reside in Cumberland. They have two grown children, Sam and Emily.

About Anna McDermott:
Anna was born in Portland, Maine and grew up her dad's 30-acre farm in New Gloucester. She attended Waynflete in and then Wheaton College for two years, where she majored in English. She later graduated summa cum laude from USM with a BA in Communications.

During her studies, she proposed to her boyfriend, Jake, who had just been accepted to Lewis & Clark Law School, in Oregon. In 2004, Anna moved west for three years and worked in a boutique hotel downtown. 

When Anna moved back to Maine, she was looking at careers in the hospitality industry. She received a great offer to work for one of Portland's most prestigious hotels, The Portland Regency. However she also saw that Nancy was hiring and was interested in joining the public relations firm. She got an interview, and as Anna says the rest is history.
