Halena Morbida is the product of a middle age crisis. It is not about a particular genre, it's about the joy of creating music.

I use Ableton Live 11, Ibanez GIO electric guitar, Harley Benton electric bass guitar, HB acoustic guitar and acoustic bass guitar, Boss ME-80 processor, bongos, tambourine, cajon, and a bunch of different kinds of flutes.
 I am not a musician, I just fool around, while learning how to play my instruments. 
The artwork for the tracks is AI generated and the titles are chosen mostly using the method of free association.

As a retired DOD Civil Service worker, I have time to record some. I have been recording at home sice around 1990 and some of my tracks are very old.  I‘ve had 50+ years in bands playing music of many types. I still play the club scene 3 to 4 times a month. Life is good!

Christiane Hommelsheim sings and plays on sound objects, Ralf Haarmann electronics and mandoline. With a central interest in loops, they create intertwined acoustic layers. Through the looper all sounds loose their corporality, they resolve within themselves, they appear and
disappear, they become soundfields, and soundshadows. Ocassionally a sentences might appear out of nowhere, and lingers unfinished in the space, like a piece of thought-furniture, that might develop within the ear of the listener before it retreats back out of focus. In the vast expanse of the cosmos, Earth, a tiny blue planet on the outskirts of the Milky Way, lies silent, its cities in ruins, its people long gone. As a time traveller and musician, I am drawn to this world, to the echoes of a civilisation that reached for the stars but fell short, consumed by an ambition they could neither control nor fully understand.
Through my music, I seek to capture the essence of this lost era, particularly the turbulent times around 2070, when humanity's fate hung in the balance. Each song is a journey through time, a sonic exploration of the apocalyptic moments when everything changed, guided by the haunting melodies and atmospheric soundscapes that paint a vivid picture of a world on the brink of collapse.
As I wander through the abandoned streets and desolate landscapes, I find inspiration in the remnants of human culture - the unfinished symphonies in empty concert halls, the silence that hangs heavy in recording studios where hit songs were once crafted. The music becomes a conduit for the stories that linger in these spaces, tales of dreams pursued and hopes shattered.
In the rhythms of nature reclaiming the cities, I hear a powerful message - that all things must pass, that even the grandest of human achievements are impermanent. This truth resonates through my compositions, serving as a reminder of our own fragility and the need for humility in the face of the universe's vast mysteries.
Each track  is a warning, a cautionary tale wrapped in sound and emotion. They speak of the paths we may tread if we are not vigilant, the dreams that may crumble if we are not wise. Through music, I forge a connection that transcends time and space, inviting listeners to explore the echoes of a vanished world and heed the lessons hidden within.
Join me on this sonic odyssey through the remnants of Earth's final days, a journey that will leave you questioning our place in the cosmos and the legacy we leave behind. Let the music be your guide as we navigate the ruins of a civilisation that dared to dream big but ultimately succumbed to its own hubris - a fate we must strive to avoid as we venture forth into the unknown.
