Another Dead Clown is a small rock band based in Astoria, Queens.

Founded as a sprawling musical collaboration between friends, ADC now consists of Chris O'Keeffe, Gerad O'Shea, Meagan Brus and Ian Deming.

The band also often features an extended cast of family, friends, and brave audience members that participate in live performances and recordings.

Another Dead Clown released their debut EP, "Everyone went home alone." in March of 2012 and their first full-length album, "This May Not Work." on June 25, 2013.


The Saga: 

	It started as a joke between childhood friends.  Another Dead Clown was the pseudonym substituted for the latest sketch of a song or stupid idea - the "band" responsible for trade-school homework assignments, guerilla-style open mic appearances, and leading many a late-night dive bar sing-a-long.  By 2011, Chris was steadily recruiting a coterie of friends and family to join the organization, and the ranks of ADC swelled along with the hours logged in cramped Cambridge apartments, swapping the roughest of demos and amassing an increasing arsenal of backlogged ideas. Gerad, recently transplanted to NYC, had returned to Cambridge, MA a handful of times, rejoining Chris to play songs as Another Dead Clown. To do so, Gerad borrowed Chris's grandmother's heirloom accordion and learned how to play it like a squishy piano.  The guys narrowed the catalog down to focus on a svelte five tracks, largely based around which songs would sound nice with some ukulele and\or banjo on them. Recruiting ur-3133 denizen, Kevin Carranza, to play, who just happened to own one each of the above instruments, was influential on the decision-making process.  After performing as ADC for an assortment of Connecticut house parties (where, somewhat miraculously, nobody got hurt,) and with the encouragement of engineer extraordinaire Christopher Abell, they hit the city to record an EP.  Enlisting the aid of many highly trained and accomplished NYC talents - including future permanent member, and winner of three consecutive "nicest legs in the band" awards, Meagan - glockenspiels, kazoos, fiddles, and washboards were shoved into unsuspecting hands, and the tape rolled. What came out was Another Dead Clown's debut EP, "Everyone went home alone." which would eventually be released in March 2012.

	While Abell was working on turning the resulting tumult into an aurally pleasing artifact, Chris moved to Astoria with the lovebirds, Kevincito got hitched and left for the Left Coast, and Ian decided he was tired of being left out and could probably learn how to play uke since it only had four strings. It was a busy summer. After agreeing to come to practice twice a week and promising never to wear flip-flops or shorts on stage, Ian joined the band. Another Dead Clown's live Astoria debut occurred in November 2012, with the band featuring a baker's dozen of performers, all taking turns on a stage that fit roughly four-and-a-half comfortably. The cast of characters in ADC rotated throughout the following cold months, spent hunkered down learning, practicing, and playing songs in kitchens, basements, and living rooms.  Along the way, the band distilled down to a dedicated four-piece, with Chris, Gerad, Meagan and Ian forming the core of Another Dead Clown. This was around the same time the organization's unofficial mission statement settled into "Friends. Music. Whisky." after some previous permutations of priority. After several near-disasters at live performances, the traditional pre-show announcement, "We are Another Dead Clown, and so are you.  If you don't like what you're hearing on stage, come up and fix it!" was abandoned. The band figured out how to retain the ability to get audience members, friends, and family up on stage to join in the fun without derailing the entire experience. (Establishing the "Tambourine Permit" was a good step.)  After enough shows, and nearly losing Chris to the French Pyrenees, ADC settled into a more intimate lineup, featuring simple arrangements with unique instrumentation provided by band-members and guests alike. They took this inclusive attitude and drove 150 miles north from New York to Ludlow, MA.  After clearing out the barn on Sweet Local Farm of hay bales and assorted agricultural implements, Kevencito flew in from CA, and Abell set up a studio at the farm. Their attitude throughout the process of creating their first full-length album, borrowed from the earliest days of the organization, was, "This may not work, but..." So, borrowing friends near and dear from locales near and far to sing, shout, drum, clap and play, the gang challenged each other to arrange, improvise, and orchestrate often right up until they pressed record. The result: Another Dead Clown's debut album, "This May Not Work."  

	With the album released in June of 2013, ADC has continued to grow, change, and push one other to experiment, get loud, and include any and everyone who might have an interest in helping them make music.  So, if you come to a show, you just might find yourself with a kazoo, ukulele, or harmonica in your hand, playing along.

Pill Grimmage

Playing Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot!, and Uncle John's Band. Their marathon sets feature music and jams from the entire Grateful Dead catalog. Playing Dead faithfully recreates the experience of a live Grateful Dead concert. The music of The Grateful Dead is a complex stew of different styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass and more. Their improvisational style and large repertoire guaranteed that every musical performance would be unique. Every Playing Dead show is equally unique featuring different set lists each night and exciting improvisational jams.

Chris Blais -synths, prog, background vocals
Chris is a proud member of the Ember Music Label and a fifth generation musician, who has a love for all styles of music. His attraction to the synthesizer occurred when he heard early recordings of Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk, Yaz and Depeche Mode. Having played and recorded throughout Canada and the United States, Chris also had the opportunity to produce music for television, radio and independent films. He continues to submerge himself within these realms, affirming his commitment and passion for programming and creating music. Chris is currently having fun with equipment such as Ableton Live, Novation Launch Pad, Akia Apc40, Access Virus, IPad, Midi Designer and Touch-Able to name a few. There are no better at what he does.

Rob Higgins -lead vocals
For more than half his life, Rob has a true passion for music, both on stage performing and in the depths of studio recording. Having a basic knowledge of guitar, piano and drums, his main focus has always been writing lyrics and creating melodies. His professional full time gig as a Windsor Fire Fighter allows him the opportunity to continue his quest of reaching the next level in the music biz. Rob’s influences range from Sting, U2, Seal, The Killers and Theory of a Deadman. The importance of striving for great lyrics and melodies, while enjoying a bit of an edge with music remain very clear with Rob. Self-promotion, great songs, exceptional sound and spirited performances are all key factors to making it in this industry. Higgins and the members of Drop Dead Famous are well aware of these factors, and are up for the challenge.

Scott Holmes - bass guitar, background vocals
Scott purchased his first guitar for $40 from a buddy in grade school, and performed his first live gig in grade nine. He packed in music for a while after high school, when he sold his gear to buy a car. Several years later he was asked to sit in on the bass for a friend, and the rest is history. Scott (or Homer, as we call him) not only started honing his skills as a bass player, but also became an excellent Sound Tech for the band. To wow a crowd, he knows that a killer mix can be just as important as the songs and performances. Homer is always committed to finding the perfect mix for every room. He currently uses Ampeg amps and likes to mix it up with his Warwick and Fender Basses, depending on the tune. With favorite bands like Rage Against The Machine and The Black Keys, Homer has a great ear for creating fantastic riffs and funky mixes.

Dave Sinewitz - lead guitar, prog, background 
A graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in pharmacy, David has been playing guitar since the age of seven. Writing, recording and live performance of music have all been his lifelong passions. A musician at heart, David later added the saxophone, keyboards and banjo to his musical talents but his true love has always been the guitar. His instrument of choice is a Peavey Wolfgang guitar and he uses a Bogner Goldfinger 45 amplifier with a Marshall cabinet. At night he is usually strumming his Bourgeois Country Boy Deluxe acoustic which has been his main vector for composing DDF songs. His musical influences include Van Halen, Rush, Tori Amos, Madonna, Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine. David is constantly striving for that different chord voicing or that cool little twist in a song, allowing for some unique and original song composition and arrangements. His musical creativeness can really be felt and heard in DDF's songs.

In today's overcrowded Metal scene it's virtually impossible for a band to rise up and stand out, against the odds, that's what Fear Is Dead is doing.
Since 2011 they've been racking up large numbers of awe inspiring live performances, Fear is Dead has garnered the acclaim of many of New York’s underground, bringing fans from the Metal scene, and Hardcore / Punk scene together. Melting faces from BK's Knitting Factory to LES Mercury Lounge, most recently packing out Brooklyn's new Metal haven Lucky 13 Saloon. Their unique sound and intense energy some would say is reminiscent of early Machine head and Korn.

Established in 2011 by Skila and Jacqueline Burns, the early line up included Anthony Moreno Brown on drums. Jax's guitar and bass stylings set the tone for the heavy sound that would evolve to what we hear today. They released two EPs "Fear Is Dead" in 2011, and "Mourning Ritual" in 2013, that were both well received. Songs like "I'm Slow" "Lie to Me" and "Boomerang" still requested by fans today. 

The band went on hiatus in 2014, and in 2015 Skila returned with a new line up, composed of Matt Pompeii on Bass, Carlos Crowcell on Drums, and newcomer David English on Guitars. This new Fear Is Dead still had the trademark strong groove and poetic introspective lyrics, but musically much heavier, and darker than it's earlier incarnation. In the beginning of 2016 the band released their 3rd EP, Eleutherophobia. An appropriately more aggressive project, reflecting the times, personally, socially, and politically. Songs like "Pretty Ugly" and "Miranda" quickly became underground favorites. Since the EPs release, FID has been performing monthly and putting out a video per song every 2-3 months, all produced and directed by Fear Is Dead. 

Their music, videos, art work, all embody what Fear Is Dead is about, evolving musically, artistically, exorcising demons and losing yourself to find yourself, even for a moment.

The Dead Good is an alternative rock project based out of Los Angeles. Formed by Sonny Lanegan (guitar, drums, vocals) also formerly frontman of the industrial rock band White Pulp and the alternative post-rock electronic duo Slow Roar it is known for its unique sound with bluesy elements and a hint of punk. The vocals for “Thirteen Polaroids” were recorded by Isabella Knight.

Dead Strangs is an acoustic trio, made up of guitar, upright bass, mandolin, and 3 part harmony vocals.  Tim Warden, BJ Watson, and Mike Lavender play many genres of music along with originals.  Their style is unique and works for any occasion.  They write amazingly creative songs and rewrite cover songs that will bring chills. They are booking for clubs, bars and restaurants but excited to rock parties and events!
