In 2022, Robby Barbieri was in a car accident and suffered a spinal cord injury, leading to C4-5 quadriplegia. Since then, he's literally changed the law in Tennessee to make sure that people with disabilities are able to get the care they need.

He's the 2024 United Spinal Association Advocate of the Year.

I followed him for a day to see one element of his advocacy work, making sure AA recovery rooms are accessible for all.
