Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the Spring season by presenting the fifth installment of it's 'Correlation' series. Released in August of 2017, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of untapped talent along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. The label's borderless music policy was also well represented, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronica, from organic house to melodic house and deeper progressive grooves. Released in 2020, the label's third edition landed with resounding success, as the lead selection 'Kafka' by Ercos Blanka racked up over two and a half million Spotify plays across the year. In past editions, Sound Avenue has kept the track selection concise, with an average of just ten submissions making the final release. The continued growth of label affiliates 3rd Avenue, Crossfade Sounds, and Future Avenue have propelled the label's demo submissions exponentially across the last year. Add to that, a continually expanding music policy, and the 2022 edition of ‘Correlation' was finalized with a hefty thirty-two selections. Added to the label's club-centric sounds are shades of electronica, dubbed out techno, and more, making the fifth installment of the series it's most far-reaching and satisfying to date.

Hot on the heels of their 2021-issued sophomore album, "Lost Spirits", German duo Hidden Empire clock back in on SVT with "Signals", their new triple menace of an EP inbound for extensive action across the dance floors this spring and summer. True to the lush and pulsating, stadium-sized vibes that innervate all of their previous outings, this new delivery puts forth the pair's nonpareil knack for weaving ambitious club narratives both intricately conceived and organically enjoyable right off the bat. A new benchmark release for an outfit that withstands the all too overused coinage of "all killer no filler" with this hard-to-resist triplet of natural belters. 

Leading the way, the doped-up title-track "Signals" goes straight for the jugular with a raucous, pressurised bass paving the way and steel-clad percussions pulling out bone-obliterating punches from the blue, geared and processed to circuit-blazing efficiency. Subtler in style, "Comoja" trades the all-out nasty robotic swagger of the opener for a more spacious kind of headspace, fusing the syncopated charm of Afro-informed polyrhythmic bursts with streamlined deep house envelopes to elevate each and every molecule of your being into rapturous plenitude. Back to a less ethereal, harder-hitting EBM/Newbeat-ish state of mind, "Alright" wraps up the journey on a hi-NRG, Knight Rider-friendly type of treat, lacing it with soulful vox and church-like choirs that give the track a perfect balance between heavyweight pound and vaporous breaks.

'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'Super happy to welcome Ric Niels on our label. We are fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years. Same thing for Dmitry Molosh, he is currently the best progressive house producer no doubt. Such an honour to welcome him on the Plaisirs Sonores family.'

With 'Endless Fire' we welcome back Italian-Venezuelan Irene Radice to the label. She developed a universally loved unique style; dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. Their releases have always received high acclaim - with support across the board from the who is who is in the world of electronic music.

To open the release, Irene drops the wonderful tittle track 'Endless Fire' in collaboration with Cristina Mae on vocals. A track full of deep harmonious vibes, as Irene guides us through the atmospheric vibe, while the arrangement keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds. Irene closes the EP with 'Magma', a classy indie dance track with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown to get you moving. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Irene's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. Sound Avenue opens 2022's second quarter with a new single from label boss https://soundcloud.com/madloch and frequent studio partner https://soundcloud.com/subnode. Now approaching four years in their creative partnership, the Belgian duo had a noteworthy 2021, releasing two well-received singles across the year. September saw Madloch and Subnode deliver their 'A Short Moment' to commemorate Another Life Music's one hundredth release. Backed by remixes from Petar Dundov and Zoi (CA), it was quickly followed by what was arguably the duo's most enigmatic work to date in 'Utopia'. Landing in October amidst support from Eelke Kleijn, Laurent Garnier and Nick Warren, the sleek yet powerful creation received remixes from iconic duo Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile, along with rising Aussie talent Microlot. Now, presenting their first project of 2022, Madloch and Subnode return to Sound Avenue with the much anticipated 'Bariloche', alongside remixes from Jean Caillou and Fabian Balino.

The release concludes with Fabian Balino returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Bariloche'. Born in New York but raised in Uruguay, Fabian Balino is no stranger to the Sound Avenue label family, having released five originals and a remix since his debut via 2021's 'Correlation' Vol. 4 collection. Also, an accomplished DJ, the New York resident has taken his groovy sound to the city's nightlife, performing at PHD Dream Downtown, XVI Rooftop and 1Oak, where he supported international star Felix Da Housecat. Continuing to build a bond with Sound Avenue, Fabian now returns to the label with a groovy take on 'Bariloche'. Tempo and drive come up a touch as the piece takes shape, with siren-like tones and wavering sonics creating an air of anticipation. More enthralling yet is a heartfelt harmonic wave, gently rising as percussion flickers off in the distance, with the second of two breaks drawing closer. Tranquil tones and dulcet chord stabs intertwine as the interlude evolves, eventually reaching an understanded apex and soaring, key changing finale. A sensational interpretation from Fabian, making for a successful Sound Avenue return for himself, Jean Caillou, Madloch and Subnode.
