It’s 5:37 AM in a tiny 10’ x 12’ room nestled among the redwoods near Big Sur, California. The floor is covered with black microphone cables, glowing stomp boxes, buzzing amplifiers, broken drum sticks, empty Corona bottles, coffee mugs, lyric sheets, and guitar picks. There is a green cushion that’s been stuffed into the only available window in order to keep the dawn out and the noise in. Across the room we watch two tall, indistinguishable, bespectacled men drive each other ever-closer to madness in front of a small mixing board. Welcome to the world of Electrolic, Scott Gagner and Steve Enstad’s psych-synth-power-pop home recording project. Fortunately, the pair have emerged, blinking and scratching, to proudly present their debut LP, Live on Land.

The Rewind is a Nebraska-based hard rock band that blends a number of influences into their unique sound, which has been described as modern rock 'n roll with a classic twist. Formed in 2012, The Rewind have had the great honor of sharing the stage with such acts as Saving Abel, Black Oak Arkansas, Smile Empty Soul, Preacher Stone, and Burn Halo. In 2013, under the name Closed For Repairs, the band released their first EP, "Play It Loud!" which garnered positive reviews from Tom Petty, Peter Frampton, and members of Cheap Trick. Currently, The Rewind is writing and preparing for more studio time in an effort to record a full-length album, which is tentatively scheduled for release in late 2017. In addition to playing regular shows, the band has performed at the Nebraska State Fair, Lincoln Exposed, and Lincoln Calling. The Rewind is committed to providing every audience with an authentic rock experience at their live shows and the band members are continually writing new music to keep the setlists at shows diverse and fresh.

American Standards is a chaotic hardcore, mathcore, and metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2011. Known for explosive live shows, deeply personal lyrics, and a relentless DIY work ethic, the band blends the aggression of metal with the urgency of punk to carve out a distinct voice in the underground music scene.

Over the course of 15 years, American Standards toured restlessly across the U.S., bringing their raw energy to Arizona music venues like The Nile Theater, Crescent Ballroom, Rebel Lounge, Skrappy’s, The Orpheum (Flagstaff), and The Rock (Tucson), as well as DIY spaces and clubs nationwide. They stood shoulder to shoulder sharing the stage with national artists such as Every Time I Die, Norma Jean, Knocked Loose, Comeback Kid, Stick To Your Guns, Atreyu, Zao, and He Is Legend — while staying grounded in the Arizona community that shaped them.

Along the way, they were recognized as a breakout Arizona band by Alternative Press, praised by Decibel Magazine as one of the strongest voices in modern hardcore, and featured by Metal Injection, Revolver Magazine, Lambgoat, and others for their intensity and authenticity.

Though never chasing mainstream success, American Standards earned respect in the national metalcore and hardcore communities for their relentless touring and uncompromising DIY ethos. Their presence extended beyond Arizona’s borders, contributing to the broader story of metalcore and mathcore in the U.S.

American Standards never set out to be one of the biggest or most popular bands from Arizona. Instead, their legacy was built on resilience, community, and authenticity — from fundraising for AZ local causes to amplifying underground voices. Today, the band American Standards appears alongside the most influential bands from Arizona such as Jimmy Eat World, Job For A Cowboy, Blessthefall, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Bled, Gatecreeper, Authority Zero, and Greeley Estates.

The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Ref was always surrounded by different forms of music. His parents exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, all of which influenced his development.

His first foray into learning an instrument himself came when he started to play the piano at the age of 14. Later he began to beat box , which he continued with for 2 years before finally picking up a FL studio at the age of 17, a decision which he never looked back from.

Supreme's musical journey did not begin in Brampton.  Born in Scarborough , it was here that he developed his musical tastes and interests, and it wasn’t long after battling kids in the area, and being exposed to a wide range of music. such as , Project Pat, Ali Vegas, Az, Ras Kass, Nas, Brotha Lynch Hung,Cormega, Dead Prez , Styles P, Ghostface, Jedi Mind tricks also local legends like Illah Stainz and many more.

After realizing that making music was his main goal, he began to showcase his talent in various venues across the GTA , playing at numerous gigs and making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that he brought to the scene and his popularity began to grow.

As his confidence grew and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and he became a popular local hit in the Toronto music scene. His talent with a variety of musical genre only added to his appeal, and his unique sound with a 90’s twist started to find an appreciative audience.

Finally, after honing his unique sound over recent years, he is now preparing to release his debut album, “Fake Smilez And Tears” which underlies the changes that Roc has gone through over recent years.

Barry Muir spent a lifetime recording and performing with three of Canada’s darling bands; Payola$, Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts, and The Blue Shadows. He was a mainstay in the Saskatoon music scene before moving to Vancouver to play bass for Maurice & the Cliches, appearing on the album C’est La Vie and in the video for Soft-core. He was recruited by Bob Rock and appears on Hammer on a Drum, a quadruple platinum record. Payola$ won four Juno Awards including Most Promising Group of the Year, and Barry was nominated as bass player of the year for the Juno All Star Band. He toured North America appearing in several music videos including Eyes of a Stranger, Romance, and Live at Massey Hall. Barry is also featured on Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts self-titled, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Greatest Hits albums which have reached gold and platinum status, winning a Juno Award for Most Promising Group of the Year. He has appeared live and in video and film performances on Something To Live For, Come Back To Me, Life Could Be Worse, and Crime Against Love, in addition to Much Music specials Live From The Diamond Club, Daytona Spring Break, and the My American Boyfriend movie. As a member of The Blue Shadows, Barry appeared on the Lucky to Me album which was Juno-nominated for Best New Country Band, and on The Blue Shadows on the Floor of Heaven re-release double album. Barry also appears on local albums including Ocean View Mo-tel (Mae Moore), Tripping Up the Stairs (Spirit of the West) and countless others. He performs locally, most recently with Payola$ band-mates Rock and Chris Taylor, also a member of the DTF touring band. His recent solo re-leases include The Only, California, and Surest Comfort which have received local airplay on CBC in four provinces and positive reviews in local media. When Barry was in a motorcycle crash that left him badly injured he had plenty of time to write and record songs while recovering, mostly just with an acoustic guitar and vocal track. During this time he met local songwriter Devra Epstein whose stories quickly became songs and the production started to blossom.

Paul Tobin is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has spent a lifetime writing music. His songs reflect his life, and musical influences: “My major influences are many. One of my first - and I know this is cliche - but I have to say Johnny Cash, simply because of that album cover, Walk the Line, with him all in black walking down the railway track. I was about six years old at the time. He looked dangerous, and he was going somewhere. I wanted to know where. Later on, Bruce Cockburn was a knockout punch for me. As an acoustic player he opened a lot of doors previously locked! Later on in my musical journey I found artists like BB King, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown, Luther 'Guitar Jr. ' Johnson, Big Dave McLean - who was a massive influence - Bob Marley, J.J. Cale, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett and many unknown players that I've had the pleasure of playing with, or just listening to, over the years." Paul has had the pleasure to perform with or open for such artists as KD Lang, The Wailers, David Wilcox, Paul Janz, Valdy, Ian Tyson, Jan Arden, Gaye Delorme, Brian Plummer, Macario, Eddy Clearwater, Keb Mo, Stampeders, Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown, Eddy Shaw, Big Dave McLean, Long John Baldry, and so many other great artists at festivals & con-certs across Canada! Currently, Paul is writing a solo album to add to his other two efforts All Night Blue and Lois Lane Sessions. Paul spent last winter in Mexico writing & performing at various venues & festivals. After he returned to Vancouver, his melodic guitar style fell easily into the mix of Barry’s writing to create a sound that is in full bloom of rock, country, and pop.

You take a deep breath and follow your heart along unknown roads. You’ve done this before and somehow you know everything will work out in the end like it always does. So you take in the serenity and the beauty of it all. You feel the sun in your face as you glide along gentle curves towards the horizon.  A peace comes over you. There’s nothing planned, just this journey where any side road can lead you to an entirely different place. You know what risk is and you thrive off it. There are people ahead you’ll come to know that you haven’t met yet. There are places and faces that will stick in your mind forever. As each day passes, you’re one day closer to the end so you take it all in and soak up every moment. The sweetness of the country air feeds your spirit.
