Looking for the underground in the Bavarian province he found it at illegal parties at factorials and empty buildings in his hometown Ingolstadt. The sets as a resident DJ were often longer than 7hours and the clubs were all wrecked and not even the drinks were on the house. Nevertheless, the enthusiasm was so high; he started to produce his own tracks. Just after the millennium he was torn to Berlin as something was happening right there and the sound he liked so much was just there. Through the first record releases he was very often booked as a main act. Because of his engagements he saw cities such as New York, Istanbul, London, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Tijuana or Helsinki. His music is nowadays found in the record bags of famous DJ’s such as Erol Alkan, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Steve Bug, Tiefschwarz, Modeselektor, Jesse Rose, Sis, Nick Curly, Gorge and A-Trak.

I'm really passionate about singing, so I've decided to start here, on Soundcloud (♪ started from the bottom ♪, idk it just reminds me :) 

I know I'm not the best singer, and that I don't really have a chance in the music biz with all you great singers out there, but I don't care if I'm singing to an empty room or at concerts. All I really want is to sing.

Live For the Light means to live in the happy moments of your life. There won't always be just light in your life; there's going to be dark moments, too, no matter how hard you try to block it out. But guess what?

Die blühende Metalszene des Ruhrpotts lebt in nicht unerheblichem Ausmaß von Underground-Bands. Und so rocken, einem kleinen Kreis bereits bekannt, aber in größerem Maßstab noch ein unbeschriebenes Blatt, Empty Day bereits seit einigen Jahren durch das Ruhrgebiet. Irgendwo zwischen Killswitch Engage und Lamb of God ordnet sich der 5er ein, wenn man zu einem Vergleich mit den Großen der Szene drängt. „Solche Vergleiche sind anmaßend“, beeilt sich Gitarrist Flo dann stets einzuwenden.

Welche Entwicklung die Band durchlebt hat, zeigen die Eckpunkte der Band-Bio. Das erste Demo lief noch bei Radio 1Live im Bereich Heimatkult. Erst danach besann man sich zunehmend auf Metal und rockte einschlägige Locations im Pott. 2011 wurde ein Song der Jungs bei Made in Essen angenommen und auf dem Sparkassen-Sampler veröffentlicht. Der einhergehende Gig beim Stadtfest Essen Original ist bis heute einer der Höhepunkte des Quintetts.

Nach der Beinahe-Auflösung im Sommer 2012 fand man doch noch Ersatz für die vakanten Positionen an der Gitarre und dem Bass. Dem Sound drückt das seither eindeutig einen neuen Stempel auf, denn seither sind auch Thrash-Elemente nicht mehr verkennbar. Die erste Amtshandlung in der neuen Formation waren im Mai 2013 die Rocktage Nord. Auf Anhieb erreichten die fünf das Finale, wo man nur knapp am ersten Platz vorbei rutschte und sich den hervorragenden zweiten Rang sicherte.

We decided to split our time into two parts, the man (Humans) and what creates (Architectural). These are the two themes that Empty-Lab offers and tries to express in their own publications.

The first starts from the "beginning", from the first beat , the primordial rhythm and all his mental and physical evolution until arriving at its mechanization.

The second is all the enrichment that surrounds it, is that moment where you usually slows down, you go slower. Are all useful items that we decide not to throw away and all environments where we decide to live.
