Sunyata is an instrumental purist and composes for a live sound.
If he writes for other instruments, he does it, knowing full well a good player could do this. So this attitude to create a live sound despite everything being digital except for the guitars of course, has the track sound as it does.

Chris does the general production and any trim novel sound sourcing and if we both agree with the over all, its on!

Better Than Before

This collaboration was born out of a desire by Diogo https://soundcloud.com/diogo-terror to create a track with a 'live', dynamic and improvised feel.

Diogo came up with the original song idea and arrangement of the track by playing in live the synth pad tweaking the notes and configs of the arpeggiator, distorted guitar and running bass line.

Trev then played in live drums using roland v-drums electronic kit to continue the live feel we wanted to create. Trev added some extra synth and lead melodies, ear candy, a little bit more fine tuning the arrangement and then mixed and mastered the track.

Artist Sunyata and Chris O’Shea have played together as a Guitar Duet based in Cairns, Tropical North Qld Australia since 2019. 
Perhaps easier to class their approach to music as Modern Jazz Instrumentalists for simplicity sake, with the obvious love of impromptu guitar improvisation and experimentation.

The duo have equal interest in preconcieved and elaborate contemporary and traditional styles and approaches toward composition. 

With extra instrumentation, piano, percussion and ensemble works are scored out in entirety by Sunyata. Then the overlayed of improvisation, if needed, with any final studio production completed by Chris. Many works  are ‘one off’ live shots recorded on the spot on our weekly morning music day, and then presented here, as they were ‘made’ on the day! 

Sunyata’s attitude is that he and Chris are two Artists working together, and invention and freedom is their credos!
