This is the second track in The Minimal Series, focusing on dance floor minimal techno, and giving space to highlight the sound aesthetic. The artwork series is a tribute to Mondrian, combining sound with minimalism, neo-plasticism, and abstractionism.

As with the previous track, this is somewhat made with the previous "ingredients" and it can shake to most shy and undecided crowd to the dancefloor for a dance frenzy.

Slovenian DJ and producer Umek has released Vibrancy, the second EP in as many months on his own 1605 label, out 31st May.

The weighty, three-track release comes off the back of April’s 19119, and sees the veteran artist combine a tougher techno sound with more emotive, melodic elements. The EP’s title track is the clearest example of this, with a pounding kick-drum making way for a groove-laden breakdown halfway through. ‘Acid Rain’ is a heavier proposition, a full acid workout that harks back to Umek’s rave-era beginnings. Loosening off somewhat, closing track ‘Constellations’ is underpinned by a steady, measured groove.
   
"Vibrancy" is evidence of a versatile artist capable of pairing emotional melodies with the heaviest of techno beats, and is out 31st May via 1605.

The Rekids boss linked with Patrick Mason—a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene—back in 2018 after they struck up a friendship in Panorama Bar. Now their superb studio work continues to bear fruit inspired by New York’s vogue scene, and these latest two tracks are perfect impactful once more.

The hard-hitting techno opener ‘Talking 2 B Mad’ is built on rock solid drums that never let up. Industrial synth fizzes twisted vocal loops and icy hi hats add detail to the most physical groove, which cannot fail to get you moving. On the flip, ‘Twitch' is just as physical and direct, this time with big synths suspending you in midair as the hammering drums seem to grow in size. It’s frenzied techno that is designed to make you sweat.
