Israeli DJ, CEO at Too Much Information Records and NTS, Rinse, Dub Lab, Teder.fm radio host takes on the aquatic theme and exploits it to its roots in the 90s with special throwbacks like finding pearls from Ramirez and Teknotika. You're quickly surrounded with bubbles and there's no way up from that point, you're going deep. There's rhythm underwater, singing whales, and dancing submarines. This mix was called something entirely different and essentially meaningless until I listened to it again this morning prior to uploading. It seemed to me that the mood of the world ATM required something more apt. Whilst this is more meditative etc, there is an uneasiness about it which reveals itself at various points. The first track I feel reflects what I can only assume must be similar to in a subway tunnel not knowing if or when you can get out. Unknown echoing noises from above. Claustrophobia and fear accompany solace throughout the mix. I hope this situation ends soon. Thoughts to everyone across the planet affected by this. Peace.

Simone Giudice (@simonegiudice), class ‘89, is a composer and sound artist based in Rome, who accesses the world of musical experimentation through the club door. His techno and dance oriented attitude is the origin of a pro- found study of the sound acquired in the academic studies of electro-a- coustic composition at the “Santa Cecilia” Music Conservatory of Rome. In his journey as a sound designer, he continually witnesses the oscillation between intimate ambient / drone / experimental paths and the creation of peculiar rhythmic patterns of the most inspired techno ambient.

~ About The Story ~

My campfire story is drawn from an impressionable era in my music listening past. Many of these songs had a direct influence on my music making, as they achieve the great depth in sound and atmosphere that I have always strived for in my own work. The result of tying them together for this mix is like a time-capsule I sent to myself from long ago. The title refers not only to one of the opening songs, but also to the refuge that a fire offers when night and cold descend on my alpine camp during a backpacking trip. - Tomas Jirku

Concerning the photo, I took it in the Breton forest of Brocéliande, during a field recording session with my friend Alexandre Charpentier. The mix is ​​at the image of this day : a trip to a magical place, a communion with a mysterious nature marked by a fantastical historic footprint.
