Plann Pi - Talk To Me

This is a collaboration with the talented Karin-Maria Brunner from Switzerland. She composed the music and asked me if I would be interested in doing vocals and some guitar. I decided to write the lyrics in the Swiss dialect of German. Karin made it easy for me to write lyrics and do some acoustic guitar with her wonderfully composed song. Here are the lyrics in Swiss German and then English. The song art is actually a photo of where Karin used to live in the mountains. Hope you enjoy!

This is an R&B Funk track influenced by 1990's G-Funk.  It was produced using live instrumentation, vocal samples and vintage drum loops.  The keyboards, synthesizers, bass, horns and percussion were recorded using a Roland RD-2000.  The guitar tracks were recorded using a Seagull acoustic electric guitar.  The song key is B min and the BPM is 100.

Mary , Queen of Scots (8 December 1542 – 8 February 1587), also known as Mary Stuart, queen of Scotland (1542–67) and queen consort of France (1559–60). Her unwise marital and political actions provoked rebellion among the Scottish nobles, forcing her to flee to England, where she was eventually beheaded as a Roman Catholic threat to the English.
The scene to the soundtrack:
In the May sunshine, Mary and her 2nd husband Lord Darnley her cousin went to ride to the Scottish
woodlands.It all seemed like a dream, the wild ride, the strange smells and sounds.
They should have a race. Mary loved to ride and to ride fast. A horn sounded, it notes oddly out of
place where no hunters were.
