Ambient Jams III - Part 1

Cosmokaze is an improvisational collective consisting of Rik Mercaldi on guitar, Joshua Enslen on bass & loops, and Todd Giudice on drums & percussion. In addition to this core group, we are also fortunate to occasionally have Stephen Franchino on flutes & horns.

All members are currently involved in a diverse group of other musical projects, coming together in Cosmokaze to create spontaneous instrumental music that reflects a wide variety of influences. Some of these include artists such as: Can, Neu!, Miles Davis, King Crimson, Hawkwind, Brian Eno, Steve Hillage, and many other touchstones in the realms of rock, space rock, ambient, progressive, fusion, and experimental music.

We've been performing live in the lower Hudson Valley and are available for bookings if you're looking for live instrumental music for your club, art gallery or event. Musical style and approach can be tailored for your specific wants or needs, from atmospheric, textural ambient, to heavier rock and groove oriented.

Here on SoundCloud, we’ll continue to put up whatever bits of our recorded studio improvisations & experiments that we have in our archive, and we do plan to release some of our music in the new future, and continue to perform live. whenever and wherever we can.
