Two Days on the North Side of Ben Nevis Lochaber Scotland Autumn 2023

While wandering around under Coire na Ciste, I heard an extraordinary sound that I took at first to be a flock of exotic birds.  Eventually my ears drew me to the sound of burn whose flow was being extruded through a tight mix of moss and rock.

A shepherd whistling and shouting instructions to his dogs as they attempt to retrieve a number of sheep, 'hell bent' on throwing themselves off the cliffs high up towards Coire na Ciste.

Climbers can be heard traversing the CMD arete while the Ptarmigan are feeding amongst the scree of Coire Leis.
