This is the debut release on Ten Lovers Music from Japanese Multi-Percussionist player Takashi Nakazato.

Takashi was born in Asakusa, Japan and has toured Europe and Asia with Jazztronik, Kyoto Jazz Massive (featuring on their latest album), Jaribu Afrobeat Orchestra and in Japan with Yukie Nishimura and Mala in Cuba.

Takashi studied for a long while in Cuba, learning Cuban folklore and Bata under the wing of greats like Adonis Panter Calderon, Barbaro Yordany Crespo Richard (Osain Del Monte) and Angel Boraño.

He studied the conga drum under Tomas “El Panga” Ramos, Edger Martinez and Joaquin Pozo, the bongo “Sierra Maestra” Eduardo Rico Menéndez. His timbal mentor was Juan Carlos Rojas. He made santo, Obatala, while in Cuba.

Ten Lovers Music feature five tracks on vinyl from his Japan only CD Clandestina album plus a new version of Pista Libre. Takashi calls in a stella guest list of players across all 6 tracks on this release including Luisito Quintero, Roberto Quintero, Karl Vanden Bossche, Davide Giovannini and Calixto Oviedo. Brother VINK also known as VINK (NL): Born in July 1995, got into various music genres at a young age. Producers like Pete Rock, Thes One, J Dilla, Madlib, and Q-Tip inspired him to get into Hip Hop production, aged 12. Through self-teaching, he was able to work his way around the FL Studio DAW, while releasing single’s and reworks that would lead up to his debut beat tape.

I started DJing in the mid 80s playing Electro and Rap at B Boy - Break-dance / Hip Hop events and then discovered early Chicago House,  which progressed through all the different genres that have been created since , and still to this day still plays a massive mixture of Electronica and Hop Hop. Over the years has played alongside some of the greatest DJs in the world from Carl Cox to Afrika Bambaataa. And over the years has had many residencies at various House and D&B night around the country a long time resident for DJ Ease from Nightmares on Wax.

Groovement Soul are a Dublin based collective who have been DJing and promoting gigs in Dublin since the 90's. We've been involved in many events and festivals including the legendary Southport Weekender in 2012 and 2013, The Bacardi Bar at The Electric Picnic, Oxygen and the Body & Soul Festival.
