What would you do if a stranger’s life or death depended on your response? This is a reality that our emergency services personnel face every day. These every day heroes in our hometowns often go unsung.
Matthew Simpson has been a Victorian police officer for 28 years and has faced many of these life-changing situations as a result. 
Listen as he recounts one of the most significant of these defining moments in his career. As recipient of the 2015 Victorian Police Medal for Courage, he describes his thought processes during the incident and gives some advice to others who might find themselves in a similar situation.
