His armament of playful antics and keen ear for cutting edge sounds is evident in his curation of his record label Public System Recordings as well as his irreverent and enthusiastic live performances. With the ability to blend the morose with the sublime, his depth of flavor invites ears both seasoned and fresh to heed this talent much beyond its years. The environment may shape your experience, but no matter the size, Myn fills spaces with energetic eclecticism. He translates his his unique style  through the airwaves of his Rinse France residency, and has featured  some of the greatest in the field on his show. 

Myn  has been able  to traverse great musical territory without ever sinking into a definable genre or pattern. From electro, industrial, techno, minimal synth, experimental, electronic body music, cold wave, punk electronics, noise - trap metal & acid nuances all bow at the helm of his control.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Catartsis. “Lumbricina” comes off the French artist’s debut solo EP for Berlin-based imprint ygam.  On the release, Catarsis investigates various styles of dancefloor oriented music. Diverse in rhythm, the EP's four tracks agitate singular sonic particles and timbres that bear the acousmatic and electroacoustic approach of the artist. Today we present the lead track on the EP which is a powerful, textured piece which recalls everything from industrial, techno and more to create a unique sound which is built for any situation. 

The release is out October 13th and you can pick it up on BANDCAMP.

X-mas Special with Turbo Teeth

We punch through into the new year with a firm fist as we welcome seasoned Berliner Manuela Mayoral to the series. 

Resident at the legendary Same Bitches, Berlins notorious after party, she's gained a solid reputation deep within the Berlin scene - frequenting cult institutions such as Griessmuehle, OHM, Arena, About Blank, Globus (Tresor), Golden Gate, Kit-Kat and more. To quote Manuela herself, music is her way to satiate the need of expressing herself. 

Manuela hails from Spain, but was irrevocably drawn to the German capital since she started playing and collecting records. Here, Manuela blossomed. It is in the fertile grounds of the best dance floors, the best sound systems, the best record stores and  like-minded individuals and party goers that she finds inspiration and motivation to constantly better herself. Berlin, for her, sees a constant progression of both her life and her art. 

This mix sees Manuela join the dots between Techno, Acid, Electro, Ghetto and  more. Berlin and Detroit are most certainly in the house. Style, ability and originality showcased in full.  Big club vibes on this one - firmly reminding us of what we all dearly love and miss.

Exist Palestine brings forward the highly talented local artists and the brightest musical visionaries in the global electronic music scene. 

Exist seeks to build bridges between international artists, Palestinian sound innovators, the many that have been displaced and musicians who are unable to attend the festival due to politically set restrictions. The lineups consist of artists who participated in Exist Festival 2019 as well as the ones who will be invited to play the next editions.

Exist no. 14 features sound artist Hålbå and the Blum.SP party founder & Burac resident Nikkatze.

Blasted and cutting sounds immersed in dark ambiances characterize the mixes of Hålbå, embodiments of his vision focused on society's decay and its consequent uncertain future. Chaos, despair, and distress are some of the feelings that the artist tries to convey on his Podcasts, a result of depth research of unconventional audio material with a huge impact for the listener.

Nikkatze is a Brazilian DJ and multiple artist, currently focused on the universe of electronic music, she explores a cinematic aesthetic in the composition of her mixtapes. She is also the founder of a prominent project in the city of São Paulo, the @blum.sp party, a movement that involves electronic music, performances and contemporary arts, Also Currently DJ resident of Buraco - label/party about all the universe of EBM and ambassador of VGLNT.BAR in the city of São Paulo.

In Nikkatze's selections, she seeks to explore dark, nostalgic elements, 80’s vibes, composing a playful and surreal journey usually composed of ebm, dark disco, post punk, industrial, cold wave, minimal wave, electro, punk, new beat, dark wave, synth wave, italo disco and other references to contemporary electronic music.
