Parfois ça ne se passe pas comme prévu. Parfois nous cachons, nous mentons. Parfois nous sommes prêt à tout pour prendre la place au sommet de cette pyramide que personne ne voit jamais. Mirage du pouvoir qui berce nos ambitions. Parfois…  L’être humain fait peur.

Un proverbe chinois dit que lorsque l’on est qu’un œuf, il est judicieux de ne pas se briser contre la pierre. 
Je crois que leur gouvernement a bien compris que selon la capacité des individus à se réunir, « ils » pourraient basculer d’un côté comme de l’autre. Rien n’est écrit.

Stereo-excerpt of a new piece that premiered at "Dunkle Zeiten" end of December 2014.

The title 109.47 degrees refers to the ideal tetrahedal angle in foams as described in Plateau’s laws. In this work, Electric Indigo creates complex sonic structures composed of very small acoustic entities. These structures live on friction, cohesion and constant movement. Sloterdijk’s “Spheres” trilogy was an important inspiration for the composition, especially the “foam” metaphor to describe and comprehend a multifocal society of individuals who live in an highly interdependent, globalized world.

Each year, approximately five-hundred billion plastic cups are used, of which roughly six billion end up in landfills. ...grind... attempts to symbolize the faulty business and political ideologies that ultimate contribute to a lack of environmental sustainability through the destructive morphology of a single sound source: a plastic Keurig coffee pod hitting the floor. 

...grind... was inspired by Donkey Coffee's Fair Trade Coffee initiative and their continued commitment to Zero Waste.

Vanity Procedure

This track is the first movement in a series of pieces that are impressions of Kandinsky paintings. The painting that inspired this piece is called "Colorful Ensemble," painted in 1938 by Wassily Kandinsky; the detail of which is what I am currently using as my profile picture on soundcloud and bandcamp. 

The defining feature of the painting "Colorful Ensemble" is the juxtaposition of small and large musical events. In the painting, Kandinsky juxtaposes small, energetic, colorful events with larger, timbrally-rich events of different shapes, contours, colors, and intensities. 

This is the defining characteristic of my impression of this piece: it utilizes microsounds on several different time scales superimposed on one another to create a unique energetic weave of multiple moving strata. Kandinsky's shapes all have different characteristics, whether they are colors or patterns, and I've attempted to give my microsounds different shapes, colors, and patterns as well.
