It sets the tone for the humor and darkness that pervades the band's music. 
A loving tribute to that 1980's Sci-Fi/Horror Classic of the same name, in the guise of a lovely little ditty - that quickly turns itself inside out and eats the members of the band. 
Who'd have thought it was that all along?

We used to use a share house for jamming, back in the early days of The Terror Adaptors. If you wanted a glass of water, you had to appease the demon that lived in the taps and pipes; for it was most angry and malevolent. It would shake the walls most violently and utter a chilling howl, every time a poor mortal dared to twist the nozzle to let out some quenching water. Would he receive his blessed relief, or lose his soul?

As a child in 1992, the lead guitarist and songwriter for the band was struck by lightning. Fortunately he survived to tell the tale, but he always wondered why it happened, what happened to those seemingly magical childhood days, what happened to his family as it seemed to  self-destruct shortly afterwards and where the hell were his super powers??
