I’m a producer, singer-songwriter, but always a fan of music first. Influences are a wide variety. I make these reimaginings of original songs as a way to give some of my favorite songs (songs that have made me feel deeply or dance joyfully) a second life of sorts (and sometimes a third and fourth (yes, sometimes I make covers of covers)

Growing up in Nigeria in the era of Styl Plus, P-Square, Timaya while listening to Avril Lavigne, The Script, Daughtry, Owl City…then discovering Bollywood and falling in love with the soundtracks of K3G, KKHH etc. Then going back and forth from leaning into EDM to leaning towards Afro pop in my production and RnB and Folk in my songwriting and melody work. It’s…a mix of things. And there’s more music I’m discovering that I’m weaving back into my craft. 

I’m working on an EP about the state of the world, what we’ve lost…what we could remember from the past, to shout/dance into the void that is the future.

I produce music on Logic Pro X. I record in whatever bedroom I can find, and I mix and master my stuff right now. It’s…a lot of work but it takes years to master any craft and I’m becoming more and more okay with that.

Chukwuedo Alexander feyintola, known by his Stage name "Alexthegemini" is a musician born and bred in Ibadan, in oyo state of Nigeria. He Graduated as a Thespian from the University of Benin in Edo state in 2021 and he likes to believe that he learned who he was and wanted to become during his time spent studying there. He also likes to note that becoming Alexthegemini seems almost like destiny as he remembers writing and selling rap lyrics to his schoolmate in his early teens and being an anchor for a TV show around the same age.
