In a short period of time, Warren Blake has made noise in the electronic music scene both in the US and overseas with his distinct signature sound. 

Warren Blake has seen huge growth both in his own musical journey and his record label Used Goods with both showing support from some of the industry’s biggest names. 

His love for music began early on when he first pick up the guitar at the age of 12. Since then he went on to play in live bands until he fell in love with music production and djing. Using his musical knowledge, he quickly transitioned into being a force in the industry.

Lately, Warren has been carving out a place for himself with his unique style of boom-bap influenced Tech House releasing music on labels such as La Pera, Safe, Be One, and of course his own label Used Goods. With all this traction Warren Blake has gone to gain international notoriety and with international dates coming soon, be sure to keep an eye out for him in a city near you.

In the decade that British-born producer, promoter and DJ Gav Whitehouse has called Melbourne home, he has become a driving force in shaping the city’s infamous electronic music scene, with his adopted home as is his inspiration and muse.
Getting his hands on his first pair of turntables in the late 90s in the north of England, like most fledgling DJs, Gav first cut his teeth on harder styles. Always ready to go one better, DJing alone was not enough. His first ever event, Rotation which he ran for 4 years would eventually become the official afterparty for hard house juggernaut Goodgreef in Preston. He later packed up and imported the event, along with himself, to Melbourne.
Gav invaded Australia in 2008, where his love affair with house and techno truly blossomed. Always pushing boundaries, it didn’t take him long to break into the close-knit scene. He commandeered One Six Ones’s notorious rooftop for three years with his Digital Sunset soirees of house, soulful house and disco with live vocalists. Always a pioneer, he even brought UK Garage legend DJ EZ over for a one-off gig back in 2015. With bold ideas and eclectic sets, the boy from the north of England quickly made a name for himself with weekly gigs at Melbourne’s best clubs including Circus, Pawn & Co and Revolver. 

For the last three years, his Frequency nights at Pawn & Co have been going from strength to strength, hosting international acts like Hector Couto, Latman and Dale Howard. He proved yet again that his horizons are boundless moving Frequency to Revolver with ground-breaking acts like Emanuel Satie , Ben Rau and Darius Syrossian the icing on his cake. 

Gav has also become a regular on the Victorian festival circuit, warming up for Audio Jack at Maitreya, Playing the Killing Team/Eat the Beat stage at Babylon and the Mono Loco stage at Rainbow Serpent. He also added Carl Cox’s Pure festival to his impressive repertoire earlier this year. 

Gav’s weekly residency for elite House and Techno crew Eat the Beat at New Guernica has recently seen him signed as a full-time artist, catapulting an already illustrious career into even more gigs across Australia and overseas. Supporting acts such as the Martinez Brothers, Paco Osuna, Sidney Charles, Josh Butler, Doorly and Richy Ahmed, he’s played alongside the Balearic best at Café Del Mar in Ibiza.

Six epic years as a producer have seen Gav’s tracks signed to labels such as Hector Couto’s Roush, DJ W!ld’s Catwash Records, King Street Sounds of New York and Rawsum Australia. His distinctive, dancefloor-ready cuts wiggle somewhere between tech house and deep tech. Experimenting with different drum patterns on the Roland tr8s and various hardware and software synths.
A combination of technical skill underpinned with passion is the winning formula for Gav. 

The dancefloor is the driving force for everything he does, whose art thrives in the deep roots of Melbourne’s collaborative scene, a city he believes shines brighter because of its popular musical diversity. 
With a bunch of new releases coming out in the next few months on Material and Bumpcut, and big plans to raise the bar with even bigger events with Eat the Beat,
