So the year that was 2021 is coming to a close and this is our final podcast of the calendar year; what a crazy one it has been.  We started the year with Jose Mourinho in charge and ended it with Antonio Conte; with a brief Nuno intermission.  

It has been down, more down and then a little up but overall who would really trade anything for our crazy roller-coaster of a club!? .... okay you were not all supposed to say yes me I would trade... damn....ANYWAY in this weeks show we discuss the win over Palace and our draw at Southampton in addition to VAR and the January transfer window which will soon be opening.

On the show this week we discuss the win over Brentford, the draw at Everton, the transfer window and the ongoing Profit and Sustainability rules impact on Premier League spending.

However no one is here reading this for that are they? Noooo its all make him snap again... well I am here to say I am good, had a few messages from people showing they DO read these and do now I do not feel so .... actually while I think of it, does it annoy anyone else how since Liverpool got screwed against us by the officials we seem to get no decisions?  Like players can molest Vicario now on the goal line and nothing... a player on a yellow can rugby tackle one of our players on a break and no second yellow...  when we go to Anfield we are going to get such a dodgy decision against us and we all know it right!?  RIGHT!?

Hello everyone...

What a drama this podcast has become.  Firstly, I am very sorry for us missing weeks - we have had one problem after another where I feel like perhaps we are cursed.  Matt left and took all the good vibes!!

Between hosting issues, content copyright issues and now Facebook and all associated domains crashing around us.. its been a fun old time just trying to record a little podcast!

Our aim, gods willing, is to resume normal show activity from next week where two of us will sit down and chat Tottenham, record it and then let you listen... an easy concept I know but proving to be harder than trying to solve the riddle as to why Poch chose Chelsea.

ANYWAY so this week you get me alone, thats right a quickie with Sam... someone every woman I have ever dated will tell you is the norm!

Things Are About To Get Real

Hello everyone and welcome to the show where this week regular host Sam is joined by 'Polynesian Dan' as we not only explain why that nickname but also try and break down what we think is going on with Ange ball and compare his season one with other top Premier League coaches first seasons...

In addition we get into a debate around Financial Fair Play and Sustainability Rules .. which I can tell you continued for another hour after the show ended as Dan didnt think he made his point well... what he was saying is that smaller clubs come up, they spend big to stay up Eg: Nottingham Forest they achieve it but face sanctions or they do not do that and they go right back down... Burnley, Sheffield Utd and Luton... so these rules are just ring fencing the league...  its an interesting perspective, not one I share as I feel if a club is run correctly growth can happen it just takes time - but we football fans want results NOW!!!  Which I also get...

So, was a fun debate... if you want to chime in please do but remember the rules.. I have the mic so i am right ha ha All joking aside how is everyone?  If you are still reading this I hope you are well... feels like everything is just a bit tough right now, a bit harder... I guess the world right now... but we shall overcome as lets face it, what choice do we have!!

Also on this show we try to work out which Island regular listener Island Brother is on... if you are reading this keep the mystery!! Mostly as I have a bet on and I cannot afford to lose more money this month... NOOOO MY BABY'S MILK MONEY!!!  

Anyway, thanks for reading.  Just between us...  I really did not mind Aston Villa beating Arsenal.. hurt us but... hurt them more... YES I am that petty.
