Originally saved under the working title of 'Microspunto 13', this piece started out as a test of a Steinberger guitar I built from scattered parts found on the internet. I still own that guitar and it is one of my favourites and most used guitars ever.
The track was made in my home studio in late August and early September 2010 and never made it beyond the DEMO stage.
There is also an alternative version of the track with an electronic drum section created by Tommaso Fiori. I'm looking for it in the archives, as soon as I find it I'd like to put that one online too.

"This song was inspired by the global crisis of 2022. The title came about as I wanted to write a Rock track that would blow the speakers and wake everybody up then lyrically it became a kind of social commentary and a call for world leaders to make positive change meanwhile everybody is doing the very best they can in their situation and living in hope”.

WAKE UP

Gunshot blues is the first track I have written and recorded. I recorded the track at HQ Studios in Manchester. I first started writing the song about 7 years ago but then moved onto writing the next song and then the next song and so on. I finally got around to finishing this one last year and taking it to the studio to record. I play the guitars, bass and there is an organ somewhere in the background. I then attempt to sing as well. Drums are a mix of samples put together by the producer. There is some other percussion in there such as tambourine and I don’t know if there is a technical name for it but “shaky egg”? My Dad did those as he came with me to the recording studio when i did this track and I wanted him to be a part of it. See what you think…..

it's been a dilemna to choose wether or not I would publish that track:
1. After hours and hours of work on mastering to remove the huge amount of noises on that old tape recording , it was only half a success...
2. I love this song!... despite its not perfect sound

Silver Pearl

The Pillars of Creation are majestic columns of gas and dust in the Eagle Nebula, where new stars are born, and old ones die.
Stretching roughly 4 to 5 light-years, the Pillars of Creation are a fascinating but relatively small feature of the entire Eagle Nebula, which spans 70 by 55 light-years. 
Electronic track of a journey through the pillars with some allian chatter. This is a one take improvisation using 3 Apple computers running Arturia v with Logic Pro x.. So its in the vane of Tangerine Dream Start up the synths live and go. Experiment to see how stable software only synths would work live. Preparation of preset sounds is of course required so in Arturia V you can create your own preset and join several parts together in one sound. Arps and sequencing is live and a bit random.

Pillars Of Creation

Freestyled, Live-looped Vocal Track I created that was luckily recorded during a gig I played many years ago at Mojos, Fremantle Western Australia. 
 
It was the end of my set as an opening artist for the gig that night and I sang to an empty room with a heavy heart feeling sad that no one had turned up yet as my set time was too early for the friday night crowd.

Only the bar staff and the sound guys were in the room to witness the creation of the best song i have ever produced. I closed my eyes, put down my guitar and opened the channel for my soul to tell a story. The legend at the sound desk recorded this majik moment without my knowing, for which I am so grateful.

It is with great happiness that I finally feel ready to share this song with you for it truely is the song of my hearts journey to find Home.

This is the original recording unmastered, live and freestyled of the moment. This track was recorded so long ago that my stage name was not yet known to be Nomadikha as you will hear at the end.

Slowly the night sets in. A light breeze conveys a nostalgic air. What we were no longer exists. Everything changes slowly, without our noticing it, just as it is difficult to distinguish the shifting of the moon in the immense night.

To make this track, I played clarinet, glockenspiel, keyboard and blew into various objects. Recorded with my Zoom H2 recorder.

My album Fû is centered about aerial elements and woodwind. It's a kind of ode to the natural world, to the trees, to the birds and also a musical journey for any dreamer. I recommend to listen it with headphones for the best experience!

Firstly on easy listening 6/4 bars, I cut some notes out of the main theme so as to give it dynamism, and finally obtained a prime amalgam of 17 quarter notes. I hid any recognizable thing in the accompaniment, and for the organic lines (voice and guitars) I tried the strong rhythm would not fix too much the melodies, first paying a lot of attention, and finally ... just letting me go.
