March is such a "two-faced" month in the northern latitudes, it can caress with a kiss of sunlit warmth, or slap the face with high winds and freezing temperatures--maybe in the same day!  It is so fickle these "ides of March" which Shakespeare told us to beware of.  The mood and playing of this song came upon me like one of those Ides, riffing on something much more mellow, when I randomly strummed an E major chord, then again with more force, then faster, stronger...I had to capture the moment, but like March weather, you can't be angry all the time, and so the caress of the Cordoba nylon. You might ask what the mellow riffing sounded like I was first practicing on--wait for it:)

We can make our dreams reality 
inasmuch as we make reality our dream. 
Let's first find truth, then build on it. 
Whatever we build on the  rock of truth will  stay. 
Whatever  we build  on the sand of  lies will crumble.
That's simple enough. 
And yet there is more to it.

I remember grandma, she used to  tell me:
"Don't you lean your  head out of the window
so you won't fall down to the street and die, 
as many other children died. 
Remember: Your head is heavier,
so much heavier than your body!"

I could tell this was a clear exaggeration.
But I'm glad I never challenged the wisdom
of those loving lies, intended to keep me alive.
There's no need to rush our happy way to heaven
proudly waving the standard of truth
while falling down to the merciless ground.
Words will always be approximations.

But love and kindness will cast out sorrows, 
will bring forth dreams, astounding  science, 
speeches and poems quoted by angels
throughout eternity. 
Remember:  Love and kindness is the only road to eternity.

Dream of Life

“And now for something completely different.”

Beauty is timeless and formless
This interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Bourrée in E minor," created between 1708 and 1717, 
is fascinating not because of my way of arranging it for the listener, but because of the fact 
that this piece of music is more than 300 years old and reveals its full beauty through the 
interpretation of two sawtooth oscillators, supplemented in the second part by the two TB 303s.

I love Bach, and even if "The Residents" says "Bach is dead," I would like to deny that with a 
swollen chest and say "may he live forever." (or as long as we can still hear.)
Bach's style of composing was quite mathematical, as can be clearly seen in this piece.

He forces the listener into his beat, relentlessly and continuously demonstrating that when someone 
masters two parallel tones, even after 300 years, none of the creative brilliance and unique quality 
of his music is lost...

This piece, originally written for guitar, is listed in the Bach catalogue of works under BWV 996.

Is such an interpretation appropriate? 
I think it shows that music consists of tones and that they are the source of joy, 
independent of the sound producer!
