While many will associate ZULI with a mutant, percussive sound palette, this mix – recorded under his now-defunct moniker XULI – sees him explore a different set of textures. It’s a thoughtfully crafted mix with tracks from S Olbricht, Madben and Lukid.

Now this is exciting. Hessle Audio, the influential UK dance music label headed up by Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound, is next up on crackaud.io with a first-of-its-kind Hessle mix from the imprint's founders. The galvanising, two-and-a-half-hour-long set looks back at the label’s storied 15-year run through its wide-spanning releases.

A two hour journey through the utterly singular sound of Broadcast. Fronted by the late Trish Keenan, the Birmingham band melded the novel soundscaping of library music and early electronic experiments with their own sensitive take on indie rock and pop. Keenan's untimely passing in 2011 effectively ended the project - but a limited amount of previously unheard material has surfaced in the following years.

Einstürzende Neubauten – thats pronounced Ein-stuur-zen-duh noi-bau-ten for all you non German speakers – means "Collapsing New Buildings". It's a name that will make sense to anyone familiar with the band, founded in 1980 by Blixa Bargeld and N.U. Unruh. It will make sense with regard to their sonics – often a cacophony of scrap metal, power tools and architectural detritus, ushering in an entirely new genre of industrial music. It will also make sense with regard to their outlook, which was one of ruthless iconoclasm, both for the musical lineage of the past, and the institutions of their present.  

This two hour mix of Einstürzende Neubauten's best music, selected by 150 Session.

I never thought we would make it to double digits! the big one-oh! thanks for sticking with us or thanks for finally joining us! 

The latest offering to the lord of the pulled blinds is presented by Melbourne’s own future queen of the dark arts, Jess Sneddon aka the night bleached ninja aka de nieuwe golfkrijger aka tall-e smalls aka a humble lass with great taste in music and wine. 

Jess is another great example of ‘look before you leap’, biding her time, picking all the ripe fruit before making the perfect marmalade. Coming from a punk laden past, which still haunts her in a good way, she’s especially good at bringing the light into dark music. A full-blown selecta who is not to be messed with.

The mix is perfect for driving home from work, if you happen to work in an eastern European power plant doing night shift’s and you live exactly an hour and eight minutes away then this was made for you. A movie will one day be made to this soundtrack. A brisk jog through the morning fog, touching on all things dramatic, a synth-ridden wonderland, melancholic vocal pieces that haunt you in a good way. Another trip to the other side. It's good to be uncomfortable.

“This mix was recorded on a Monday night and is a reflection of what I'm likely to be listening to at home on a Saturday afternoon. 
I came into electronic music from a punk/DIY/guitars background and initially struggled to see how someone could coexist within both scenes — I guess this sort of bridges the two in a non-club setting.”

The man born Rob Ellis is one of the most uncompromising producers in modern electronic music. His head is set firmly in stone on the Mt. Rushmore of Dubstep. His label, Tectonic, acts as a building block in the development of innovative UK Bass. He can dip his toes in the On-U Sound and create impeccable Dub/Bass/Low-End amalgamations with ease. The man is a machine! His collaborations with pioneer artists such as Shackleton, Mumdance and Sherwood have made for some of the most bone shattering sonics and earthquake inducing 12"s this side of the millennium.
