Here it is! I’ve done a showcase set a short time ago in front of all my good friends, celebrating Signature ‘25: Pure. A perfect blend between my old sound as Orbyte, and my new sound as FROGR. My love for music never ends, as you can hear the set was very diverse. Although I’m focussing now more and more on FROGR, it was a pleasure playing such a diverse and “business as usual” set as Orbyte. The track selection comes directly from my Ocean Therapy time in the Canary Islands, where I learnt a lot about myself. This is why the theme is called “Pure”; I met the pure version of myself. These tracks hold a great memory to the islands and my personal journey there.

Live @ Signature '25 Pure Showcase Event

Orbyte discovered electronic music back in 2018, admiring big names such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and David Guetta. Back then he started playing the decks before his friends, and a year later his very first time before the public!

Orignating from the area of Utrecht, the Netherlands, Orbyte dedicated his sets to the sounds of trance and melodic techno, as he enjoyed classical euphoric music as a kid. From small closed events then, he kept going with his passion for music, creating mixes over and over. It has resulted in his Signature compilation mixes where he celebrates his birthday with in a different theme every year. In 2024 he started his radio show called The Multiverse of Music, where he showcases his musical library, invites guests for a mix and shares his inspirations.

Orbyte is known in the Netherlands and the UK, playing for Fusion in London, Oblivion Trance in NL and many other intimate events.

FROGR was born in late 2024 as the bouncy new alias of Dutch DJ Jochem Smeding, also known as Orbyte. Leaving the pond with a leap of pure passion, FROGR channels the golden age of rave, blending euphoric trance, scratching hardhouse, and raw Eurorave into a sound that is uplifting, energetic, and unashamedly happy.

Inspired by the 90s and 00s, FROGR acts as a kind of musical journalist, digging deep into the archives to revive forgotten gems and timeless anthems and sounds, reshaping them for today’s dancefloors. His sets are fast-paced journeys at 145 BPM, designed to make crowds smile, jump, and lose themselves in the euphoria of classic rave culture.

Since his debut, FROGR has made an explosive entrance onto the international stage. From London’s underground clubs; starting at Fusion in Basing House and later closing the night at EGG LDN; to appearances at Amsterdam Dance Event and High Voltage Recordings label nights, FROGR has proven his ability to captivate audiences with pure rave energy.

What began as a small alias has already grown into a movement: one that reconnects people to the roots of dance music while giving it a fresh, unstoppable drive. With goosebumps, adrenaline, and tears of joy on the dancefloor, FROGR is here to make the world jump and above all: GET FROGD!
