Written for songwriting contest, w/theme the Santa Fe River in n. Florida. Translations..."Timucuan": native people in n FL at time of Spanish Conquest.  "Cracker Cowboys": colloquial name for cattlemen who herded wild cattle north during the Civil War.  "O'leno town": ghost town on the Santa Fe, a swinging bridge built in the 1930's is still there.

This song I wrote a very long time ago, one of my early songs, I was in my 20's and into Hard Rock like Zeppelin, Floyd, Queen, etc, etc.I rerecorded it during the pandemic around 2020. It's a bit dark about a guy that broke-up with his girlfriend and was calling her just to hear her voice again. Her voice alone gives him the courage to face the future and pulls him out of his depression. His life is pretty  bleak filled with partying too much, constant drinking and blackouts. In the end, her voice alone saves him and the song ends in an uplifting and hopeful fashion. It's a dark love story, not one of my usual happy go lucky songs. The video added a twist with a man listening to this conversations and taping them for some reason. Maybe FBI or police? I don't know, I just threw it in! It shows people partying and waking up on strange floors. The video is brand new, just finished it last week. **I NEVER USE A.I. IN ANY OF MY SONGS!** Hi everybody, my name is Jim and I’m a songwriter, I've written over 300 songs, I play guitar, bass, piano, and am an okay lyricist.  I play all types of music and have my own recording studio.  I use no A.I. or DAW or any computers to make my songs, all the instruments are played by me live on a multitrack studio recorder and Charlie, my vocalist, sings most of my songs and also plays the Harmonica on several tracks.
