Here's a trip hop song I wrote in February based on the prompt "Going Nowhere". I jammed with no big expectations. It only took 40 minutes of songwriting, plus 3-4 hours of mixing and mastering. I'm happy how it turned out and decided to share it with you.

A song about how I came to learn to play the guitar and start to write songs. I am very sorry for the poor sound. But at the moment I can only record with my phone. That's why I have to play the song in one go. The drums are just the built-in drum accompaniment of my amplifier, which I switched on in this song after the first chords. I will buy an audio interface and try to find a DAW (free or not too expensive) - if you know a free one, you can send me a PM.
One day I will manage to get a better sound, I am sure! But for the first songs, only all live-played with the drums from my amp recorded via phone, since I cannot do more at the moment. Perhaps some like it nevertheless? I am a bit excited about pulishing my first track here...

This song is a bit of comic relief, I wrote it about the thousands of times I've had to wait for my lovely wife to get ready yo go out for dinner, movie, event, whatever! Sometime my stomach even growls in protest!😂 It was a very much fun song to do and Charlie and I both took turns at singing it. I wrote it back in 2021 and it was another of those fun songs to help us get through the pandemic! I actually don't wait that long for my wife to get ready, sometimes she's ready before I am, it's just a bit of humor done to a swing rhythm. My wife actually loves this song and thinks it's hilarious. To those who have wives & husbands like that, my condolences! Cheers!🥂

So much has happened in the World since I was last active on Soundcloud, nearly 3 years ago. The onslaught every day of so many people, animals and our precious Earth suffering, and no end in sight. I have been writing and painting how I feel, but my first recording is far from this, and of another time, a short, simple, and light offering for now.
I was born and raised in a small rural town that saw large amounts of snowfall in Winter, despite being the South of Scotland. We had plenty of hills to sledge down and no need to go to the Highlands. Through the years, in the many places I have lived in, my best walks were snow filled ones with the dogs, and in the mornings setting off when everything was pure and dazzling, and your whole body felt alive. The dogs would leap about so happy, and in turn affecting us, so that we were just as daft playing with them, totally energized! I give thanks for having had this.
This is for my beautiful wee Bridie, who died nearly 2 years ago.
