In 2004, legendary and genre-defining Danish label Iboga Records donned their slippers and smoking jackets, reclined, and cozily launched a new sub-label: Sofa Beats. The idea was to broadcast their previously unprofessed love for the myriad of shades and styles that make up mid-tempo and downtempo electronic music. 

Sofa Beats is run from Copenhagen by the laidback yet discerning A&R Alexander Descroix. The chill out legion of Sofa Beats aficionado is secretly among you in every corner of the world, rhythmically nodding to his headphones, quietly content and in-the-know.

Psychedelic Progressive & Psytrance Producer

Alkemya has been an electronic music producer since the early 2000's.
Produced under the name "6BaL" in 2008 and in 2010 (www.beatport.com/artist/6bal/180424) by Toonz'Shop Records (@toonzshop-records) on the label: "Chapati Express".
He played his first Live Act in 2013 in France at “Oxygen-3-FestivaL” (www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-Usz4f9j6s), and in various venues mainly in Paris in recent years.
In 2016, the name of his project became “ALKEMYA”.
   October 2017, he started traveling abroad and joined the "Desert Dance festival" in Egypt, South Sinai with his new Live Act.(www.facebook.com/events/406905726326965)
In 2018, he played for the second time with the collective "Sun Department Records" on the Desert Dance Festival , in Nuweiba (Egypt).
   June 2023, he signed his first EP (4 titles) with "Geomagnetic Records", produced under the label "Goa Records" in San Francisco (USA).
