Hip Hop fans on Soundcloud are likely to have come across the prolific talent of Ian Greaves (aka @IPG1). Ian's smart & slick vocal tracks are widely used in collaboration by other artists, as I've done here with one of his more popular lyric tracks, "Modern Times".  

On this collaboration, all lyrics are written & sung by IPG1, and most of the music is performed by me, with the exception of the sampled vocalization in the middle bridge and ending, and a few minor sound effects here & there. The beginning starts off normal enough, but the middle section takes a bit of a left turn before I 'go off' on the synth in the second half. I kind of enjoyed working the sliders on the live synth performance.   ;)

HUGE thanks to IPG1 for his generosity and helping me put together what is effectively my first hop hop tune, originally composed as an instrumental track. The lyrics are a topic close to my heart too, so really enjoyed being able to add my 2 cents in a way.

Determination Of Exploration

This one is "My TV Knows What's Best".  It has a kind of a sci fi feel to it. Basically someone who literally watches too much TV.  It has become his sole source of companionship and information. He knows that it doesn't always make sense, but "the TV knows what's best". And unlike the vast majority of Television viewers, he really does believe everything he sees on TV.    Hope you enjoy!
