I really like this little piece. it's a great bit of sound design. like 100 digital cows mooing.  it will definitely go in my favourites playlist and make me smile every time it comes on (however briefly). and I really admire your audacity for submitting such a non-standard length song. good on you. I don't think it will come last.

It’s like a homemade Deep Note. Bold concept  that artistically embodies  the struggle of pulling out a coherent sound from a buggy synth. We all have been there from time to time 🙌

A brief moment of clarity in a short life, rife with chaos. Truly a reminder that our struggles are fleeting and inconsequential in the face of the cosmos.

A proper miniature lament ; it sounded really good while it lasted. Nicely organic. It was followed just now by Silverpants singing "Martin the Herring Gull"  which seemed oddly appropriate, somehow :D

Wow. Have to listen to this 48 times to give it "equal time" with the other tracks.   Nice one!

Despite it being :05 of music, knowing you, there must have been 20 hours of thought behind it which I will reflect in my scoring!

As I think of my 14-year-old daughter, I go back to my own childhood. To my dusty, dimly lit room where I had a small synthesiser and an echo machine on some sort of an altar. I go back to my hopes and fears, my expectations, my goals, my beliefs and my love for music. Often too little time to make my own music because I couldn't stop listening to Bach, TD, Klaus Schulze, Jarre, Vangelis, Pink Floyd and Todd Rundgren.

I recognise so much in her. My beautiful 14-year-old daughter with all her hopes and fears and her love for music.

My entry for OSC 188 - Full Bucket Six Traq.

Made in Reaper 6, using 21 instances of Full Bucket's Six Traq.

Pushed and prodded lightly at track level by TDR Nova, HOFA Gain, Kazrog KClip Zero, and Flux Bittersweet. 

Delayed to a fair extent by Hy-Delay 4.

Reverberated by Oril River, Protoverb, and ADverb. Assisted by TDR Nova, HOFA Pan,  A1 Stereo Control, and Flux Bittersweet.

Some more light prodding at the master level by TDR NOVA, Flux Bittersweet and A1 Stereo Control. Louderized using Limiter No 6.

Oh No !  Not Again !

Jas wasn't alone this month cooking some hit em (5/4 time, 212bpm). I think the proposed style is better with a wash of breakbeats and distortion, but I did my best given the synth at hand. It was tough. I struggled with making a spread of decent percussions so I had to keep em mostly foundational. Please enjoy the weirdness!

SixTraq was strange to use as a vst. It took a while to get my head around the point of the workflow- likely audibly so. I mostly ignored the agonizingly hardwarelike arp/record layer functions and kept it mostly like a layered polysynth. But, it has quirks, kind of like a misshapen cousin of the Prophet 600. Props to Full Bucket for having the interest and persistence (and patience) to wrangle the code for such a thing. Also I didn't really have any bugs except for the undo thing.

-24 instances of Full Bucket's SixTraq in FL Studio.
-Mixed with Variety of Sound Plugins (BootEQ, Density, ThrillseekerVBL, TesslaSE, epicPlate, NastyDLA) and a smidge of OTT on the master for good luck.

Apophenia [One Synth Challenge 188: SixTraq]

This month's One Synth Challenge uses Dawsome Myth. This synth comes with a massive sound design rabbit hole so this month's effort might be biased towards sound design with a rather more lame composition than usual. Created in Bitwig Studio 5.2.7. All patches were created from init and used various samples including vocal phrases, oohs and aahs, my dog barking, a wok lid, hitting metal things and at least one sample generated with Deep Sampler. There might be a patch in there using audio dragged from another patch too... In addition to that, although most tracks were almost exclusively using the synth's built in effects, the following plugins were also used:
