The Bible states clearly and repeatedly that God created us as vessels and that He Himself wants to be our content. Just as a potter has absolute authority over the clay he shapes on his potting wheel, so God as our Potter has absolute authority over us, His creatures (see Jeremiah 18:1-6 and Romans 9:20-23).

When we believe in Christ Jesus, He comes into our human spirit and fills us with Himself. According to 2 Corinthians 4:7, Christ in us is the “treasure in earthen vessels,” and Romans 9:23 says that we are “vessels of mercy.”

We are vessels of mercy not because we sought God or because we are better or try harder than others; we are vessels of mercy because God loved us and chose us, even before the foundation of the world. Romans 9:16 says, “It is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”

Now, we may be “vessels unto honor” by pursuing Christ with other believers (2 Timothy 2:20-22). May we all pursue Christ to be filled with Him!

It’s a wonderful thing for sinners to believe in the Lord Jesus and receive Him as their Savior. But as soon as we receive the Lord, we may feel pressure to be a certain way in order to to please God or to show others that we’re a proper Christian. Inevitably, we realize that we can’t meet the standard we’ve set up for ourselves, and we get discouraged.

Actually, God created us as vessels so that we can be filled with Him as our content. Referring to the Lord Jesus, 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “We have this treasure in earthen vessels.” When we’re filled with the Lord, every aspect of our Christian living flows out of His life within us.

The best way to be a Christian is to not to try to behave in a certain way, but to be filled with the Lord by loving Him, calling on His name, and allowing Him to make His home in our heart (Ephesians 3:17). It may sound crazy to tell the Lord a thousand times a day that we love Him, but if you try it, you’ll see the fruit of it in your daily living!

Hab 3:2 [1] In his prayer for revival, Habakkuk represents all God’s elect throughout the generations. Among God’s elect there has always been an aspiration to be revived. Moreover, since the fall of man there has been in all creation an aspiration for revival (Rom. 8:19-23). Adam’s fall brought corruption, slavery, and death into the whole creation (Rom. 5:12); everything is decaying and is under the slavery of corruption. All the things that are under this slavery aspire to be revived.

Hab 3:2 [2] The universal need for revival, for restoration, can be met only by Christ and in Christ. Only Christ, who was resurrected on the third day (1 Cor. 15:4), is the renewing power. For the whole universe and for all mankind, Christ is the reality of the third day (John 11:25). The reality of the third day is the person of the resurrected Christ with the reality of revival. Christ, therefore, is the element of the revival for which all creation aspires. The corruption and desolation can be swallowed up only by Christ’s resurrection. Something That’s Greater Than Jonah is Here

Jonah was sent by God to Nineveh
To tell the people to turn back to God
But he did not obey, went far away
He fled away from God.

God told a great fish to swallow him up.
Three days and three nights he stayed in the fish
He was repenting, desperately praying,
God told the fish to vomit him out.

Something that’s greater than Jonah is here
He spoke God's message and made it so clear
To this generation He is the sign.
He is the Son of Man.

Three days, three nights in the heart of the earth
Death cannot hold Him and He rose from it
He’s now pneumatic, He's so terrific
