In February of 2022, as Storm Eunice worked its way across the UK, two people, namely Greig Baird and his partner Susie Baird set out for a rare weekend away on the North Coast of Devon. The weather was rough, but life affirming. The North Devon coast spectacular and dramatic; made more so by the waning storm. 

This collection is a set of sonified memories; moments in a particular location at a particular time. A creative recalling. A set of sound postcards if you will.

Experimenting with a lot of external processing resulted in an a Tim Hecker inspired track.

Just playing around with a self generating patch out of the 0-Coast

One of my first edits from my library of found sounds: "Relaxing Rain and Loud Thunder" is designed as a brief intro into my perspective on contemporary field recording. This is actually a few different storms, recorded in different times in various places piled up on top of each other to create a uniquely soothing three and a half minutes. Use good headphones and listen loud, but be ready for those loud cracks of thunder! More of my rain recordings:

I wanted to share a live recording that we have listened to multiple times in our home  :) 

Last year we spent some time in Bali at Potato Head (@potatoheadmusic). Alongside my night time gig I asked them if I could play a "sunset set" by the beach. Instead a biblical thunderstorm rolled through and we all huddled under the covers. 
Some records I have played before, some I haven't all of them special to me in some way.
