Description: My first attempt at recording a quartet. It's from the Associated Board Music Medals series (gold), played on a Paul Fischer (2001). Mussorgsky couldn't have been further from my mind!!

Talking my Dad (who is 96) some years ago and offering my condolences upon finding out he had just lost one of his cherished longtime friends, all he said was "They're all gone now." I was reminded of this recently while staying with him while Mom (now 92) was recovering in the hospital. I wrote this song during a quiet moment while he was sleeping. This recording features some of the new Soundpaint instruments including the 1967 Clarinet Paris; 1987 Alto Flute Savana; 1995 English Horn Lorium; 2004 Flute Platinus; 2010 Bassoon Firebird #soundpaint_demo
