The B-Side of the six-track compilation on @sameheads opens with @automatenfall - a hardware electronic three piece, previously appearing live at Sameheads during a “My Friend calls it K-Jazz” event. A yearning that eventually gets us on a spiritual path and headed toward enlightenment through the meandering melange of chimes, that little sounds that usually overcome us in the weirdest of times.

Eighty-nine apartment, fifth floor. On his way home, somewhere between the 24-hour store called "The Elk" and the "Milana" hair salon, Ignat spotted a playing card with the queen of clubs lying alone on the pavement. Now he can only think about that loose black shirt with a bold deck-of-cards pattern that his mother’s friend, Uncle Slava, used to wear. All Ignat remembers about him: the gleaming gold tooth, the habit of rubbing his neck with his palm, a trip together to the lake in a beige Lada, when he felt an extra more than ever). And also, the fact that one crisp January morning in 1997, Uncle Slava was met by three gunshots as he was leaving the apartment building. But most of all, Ignat remembers that card-patterned shirt. It’s forever etched in his memory, just like the first time he heard Undervann's mix for 5/8: radio — a lone tear of happiness slid down his cheek, and his feet couldn’t help but start to dance

After a summer break, the “Bordeaux-Kyiv Exchange” series resumes between @20ft_radio and @letype, featuring Bordeaux-based musician @laltuna. Photographer, filmmaker, fanzine editor, poet… Lal has been experimenting for several years through exhibitions/short films/photo shoots. She often works in close relation with the rock scene that thrives in Bordeaux’s underground venues, particularly at Café Pompier, a cafeteria of the Fine Arts school that has been transformed into a concert venue/nightclub for Bordeaux’s students and artists. Lal Tuna left Istanbul at 18, out of fear of feeling suffocated by a certain form of artistic stagnation, where creators, in her own words, end up 'self-censoring.' 

With the release of her first drone EP, Lal is exploring audiovisual atmospheres, noisy recordings, and especially the 'singer-songwriter' aspect of folk music. In her musical practice, she seeks to blend these different elements—that’s also the case in the mix she recorded for 20ft Radio and Le Type as part of the “Bordeaux-Kyiv Exchange” series.

A storm is a musical composition in itself. Taking inspiration from this week's Disquiet Junto project, I created improvised music to accompany Bruno Auzet's (@user-876924050) excellent field-recording, enhancing the inherent emotions and sounds of the original.
