‘We do a lot of walking on the high crests of these mountains and there is a strange sense of freedom that comes from finding yourself so small and insignificant when surrounded by such a rolling immensity of landscape.  But then, if you stop and look at the ground beneath your feet, you become aware of all the plants and insects and, with that, you are suddenly transformed into a huge towering creature, vast beyond belief.’
