This year at Horst we introduced Collective Care, a harm reduction and community care programme to make the festival a supportive and welcoming place for all. Perhaps you saw the team in pink vests during the weekend, or even sought them out yourself in a difficult moment.

Collective Care also included a dedicated restorative space, for which we commissioned a series of mixes from DJs with a keen understanding of nurturing sound: Russell E.L. Butler, Alex Rita, and Lou Drago.

But then, if you stop and look at the ground beneath your feet, you become aware of all the plants and insects and, with that, you are suddenly transformed into a huge towering creature, vast beyond belief.’
